Had my usual trip away to conference this week, a tough time currently but took the enjoyment where it came, which was in the form of catching up with friends. Firstly, Pru and Helen and I had the most fabulous dinner at a place called Iguanas in Birmingham Broadstreet area. So nice to have a […]
Hunting Fossils with Gill! Plus Devon, and sneaky peeks at QVC deals
So off we went a-fossil-hunting! Ever since I was 12 years old and went on a field trip with the school to Lyme Regis in Dorset, I have wanted to return. And finally my lovely friend made it possible by booking us a weekend away. We had a great tour with a guide called Richard, […]
Back to blog! Hectic weeks away and Molton Brown ahoy!
Oh my goodness what a lovely time I have had recently, including in the writing retreat in France. Six days and nights all to myself with role reversal compared to what I normally do in Devon! A lovely group of writers, and the most gorgeous place including a fabulous pool. I took the top picture […]
No big blog this week
I’m sure everybody will understand that there is no lengthy blog this week. QVC programming is also being altered accordingly because of the period of mourning following the passing of our wonderful Queen. I’m away in France on a writing holiday and we will all be watching the funeral on Monday. I promise I will […]
A Day with Blake, Dysonned, and Sneaky QVC Peeks!
First, I was very impressed with the way the Dyson Corrale straightener/curler did my hair last weekend! What an amazing saving, and a brilliant beauty tool. This was such a nice picture I thought I’d send it to you this week 🙂 It’s quite trendy now to do the little straight bits at the ends, […]
Tourist Time! Plus sneaky QVC peeks and a special Dyson deal!
Not only did I have a lovely time with my one-year-old grandson last weekend at his little party, I also had another super touristy day out with my friend Gill. And tonight, Friday the second, I launch one of the best Dyson deals we’ve ever done! See below. Meanwhile, where did September come from?! It […]
I went out out! Guess what I did?
Well, I was spoilt this week. Not only did I go out to my niece’s birthday party, but I also went to an event I helped to organise in Redhill. The pub “Home Cottage” just opposite the station and it’s a pretty good venue. 40 youngsters turned up (okay some oldsters in there as well) […]
Just like summer
Well, it did not take me long to get back to having a Debbie day… day after day! Packed full with activities, that means. Well after being away for a month, I’ve ended up needing to get my appointments all in the diary haven’t I – from nails to my osteopath to having a MOT done, (car, not me!) to a dentist appointment and more. Phew. I’ve been watering the plants when I got home after work at night as I didn’t have time during the day, ha ha. Also had a lovely day out pretending to be a tourist this week as well, when I went to Buckingham Palace with Paddington, no not really, with my friend Gill!
Back to my Life as the long health retreat ends! & QVC Update!
Well this week the health retreat in Somerset finally came to an end after nearly 4 weeks 🙂 Having gone back to Devon for a few days this week before I went to my daughter’s in Wales, I was very happy to go on another walk down the country lanes. In fact I did a little vlog about it go here to see it if you missed it.
Sunny Somerset, sweltering Fulham, and bon voyage Bruvva
So this week after my whistlestop trip home, I was back at Amchara, The health retreat I booked a long stay at as a treat for my 60th, in case you missed earlier blogs! I was lucky enough that the weather was pretty good most days. So fortunate to be able to spend half an hour, nearly every day, in the pool. The water is always around 30° so once I’ve got used to it, it is heaven. So was some of the food, see below. But considering I’m into my third week there now, in total, I needed a change of scenery.
