What a week.
I know I say that all the time, but Friday was a smashing day, remember what the weather was like? Well that’s the day that my niece Stephanie got married to her new hubby Alex in the beautiful surroundings of Denbies Vineyard and Hotel in Dorking near where I used to live.
They obviously chose black and white as their theme and we all took away a lot of white flowers the morning after the night before LOL. We had the most amazing train ride up through the hills of Ranmore Common overlooking Denbies Vineyard, as part of the celebrations. And there were some lovely food of course and some funny funny speeches.
Mum looked amazing as she usually does. And my sister was absolutely drop-dead stunning. What a mother of the bride.
Then in the evening lots more people turned up including my lovely kids, and the bride looked fabulous as well obviously, if you can tell from this little picture. It was so much fun seeing everybody and we all had a good dance and some nice food. Such lovely times 🙂 and congratulations to the new Mrs and Mr Miles…

Fab May blooms
I just have to show you this beautiful array of colour, from up the drive. I don’t think I mentioned it last week. Just have to include it because it’s so gorgeous I’ve been showing it on the gardening shows LOL. The flowers don’t last long enough though do they? Most of the drive is covered in them at the moment, as well as some of these super azaleas. Did a couple of gardening shows this week and loved it. I always learn so much!

Seriously! Actually when I was a kid I apparently said to my mum, “mum, when will I be a cat?!” Well here’s what I would look like if I was 🙂 don’t you think there’s a likeness? :-))
Lady Mayor
With politics in the news very much at the moment for obvious reasons, I thought I would just say a big congratulations to my lovely friend Debo Sellis in Devon who has just been made mayor of Tavistock. She really deserves it as she’s worked so hard over the last many years in the area. And doesn’t she look amazing!
Watch – LOVED ‘The Fall Guy’ at the cinema with Ryan Gosling. Oh my goodness this man is so hot. And what a body. And what a funny film :-). He is just a genius and I will see anything he is in. Emily blunt was good as well. So worth going to see this film – about the stunt man getting into trouble whilst he tries to make a romance work. Excellent performance from Aaron Taylor-Johnson too (a bit of a scene stealer if truth be known, no wonder he is one of the people tipped to be the next bond!) 8.5 out of 10. I will definitely see this one again at some stage! Saw it with my lovely pal Alison, ex sister-in-law, and we had a really good catch up! Plus something funny happened on the way to the cinema! Book of the Week – I hate to admit it but I listened to ‘Mad about the Boy’, book 4 in the Bridget Jones series again. Loved it. Not so hot I must admit however, on the latest David Nicholls. I’m finding ‘You are Here,’ a bit boring to be honest. His books have been quite hit and miss for me. So if you can’t wait for the new film which apparently is being shot soon, and will no doubt be out next year, I highly recommend Bridget Jones 4 on audio!
