Had a fun show mid week this week when the Waschies brand returned, this time with a super today’s special value set of four hair turbans! I couldn’t believe how absorbent they were, truly. So amazed, I bought another four. I thought Lauren could do with those for her and Phoebe’s hair, and also for the spaniels! Anyway, we’ll see. (She sometimes turns down the things that I buy because she doesn’t like me making decisions for her… 😁 and sometimes… because she thinks my choices are rather peculiar! Well, sometimes… she’s not wrong! But not in this instance because these were fabulous.) If you want to see the funny little head banging dance I did, it’s the exclusive over on this week’s newsletter! (Sign up at the foot of this page, to get yours in your email inbox every weekend).
I was also in Devon for another lovely week long retreat but it started on Wednesday, because I’ve got a London literary agent coming down to join them for the weekend. I had been asked to do an extra day at work specifically to do the turbans. So my lovely friend and housekeeper, Sian, filled in for me! The group was smashing and we have a whole day with the agent on Saturday, so I’ll tell you more about it next weekend.
Here’s one of my favourite dishes of the week though, it always goes down a treat – two mash and two sausage plus lots of vegetables! Yumm!

One of the problems of me not doing my usual shopping set up though, was that for some reason, I ended up with a multitude of one particular product! To find out more, watch this week’s Facebook live on Thursday, from Devon this time, it’s called my #thursdaybantz! Hope you enjoy GrapeGate!! See it here.
SNIPPETS

Mummy & Bradley
Can’t believe my now nearly 38-year-old son, was about the same age as Jasper, in this picture. Happy days. Little Jasper my youngest grandchild is three next week and I’m looking forward to going down and seeing them. I visited Brad’s very briefly at the weekend as well, always good to get some baby hugs. Even when the baby is in his late 30s!

Lovely Langsford
Did you see the woman and Home feature on our Ruth Langsford recently? She posted on her socials with behind-the-scenes footage and my goodness isn’t she looking amazing. Lost weight, looks younger, gorgeous hair, recent events are certainly agreeing with how she looks and I can tell you (because one of my neighbours, Ray, and Surrey, asked how she was) Ruth Langsford is doing very well indeed! Attagirl!

MDD – the results are in!
10 years ago this year, when I first got asked to be a Medical Detection Dogs ambassador, they had just began trials into dogs detecting prostate cancer. Well look, all these years later and it’s only been published! And the results are great. Well done Medical Detection Dogs. If you’d like to find out more follow the link here, and don’t forget to come along in June to see a live demo, just off White Hall with a very special fundraising lunch on the 10th!
Watch – You may have realised I’ve been going down a rabbit hole online when I’ve needed to switch my brain off lately, and I found this which really made me smile because it’s a little bit educational as well. Have you ever done this? I must say that my answer is always the “it works” / magic sponge white cleaning blocks! Works every time. Her reaction, though… ha ha ha ha ! (See it here).
Also obviously loads at the cinema and loads on TV with all the series! I think I’ll go for The Traitors US next in a binge watch! When I get this tough week over!
Funny. Hehe!!

So true.
And since I’ve been continuing with the elevate brain training app at night time, this one tickled me! Took a little while to work it out though! LOL

Vlog – a little behind the scenes walk and talk with more insights into the route to the studio! #MenopauseYourWay. First Monday of the month with me! (See it here).
Book of the Week – Well I absolutely loved “I Bet You’d Look Good in a Coffin” by Katy Brent. Just loved her characters and can’t wait for the next one, highly highly recommended. So I’ve gone back to the next Kay Scarpetta, “Point of Origin”, book 9! There are loads of these so I’m looking forward to being able to rejoin the characters I really like as they progress very slowly through their lives, surrounded by death (she is a pathologist), danger, and drama. Good so far – she investigates a devastating fire on a farm near New York…
