Wow. Look at this beautiful little puppy I had the pleasure of cuddling last week! Having lost old lady Baloo a few months ago, my daughter Lauren and her family took delivery of little Winnie, the gorgeous ginger/chocolate cocker spaniel puppy just before I arrived last weekend!
She is just adorable! And is gradually getting used to Luna and her funny ways!! And vice versa of course.

Lolly also treated us to a session in the spa at a hotel in Aberaeron. I just loved getting in that pool. It’s too long since I went swimming and although it was tiny I did several laps! Funniest thing was when lollipop got splashed on by the jets of water suddenly coming on exactly where she was standing in the pool, without realising, then she moved over and got splashed by the other one suddenly starting. We did laugh!! We had a lovely lunch and I had a really nice few days with her and the kids!

So glad I made the time to go there at the end of my Devon trip. And of course I came back to my man being home instead of having to wait until the Friday…
SNIPPETS

Entertaining in Sussex
Finally got together with H (see the newsletter for more!) And got to see his lovely mate John from the Isle of Man who came over for a couple of days, so we went for brunch in Haywards Heath as usual in Harts country store. Absolutely delicious lunch there! And Jon is quite entertaining. He used to live in Horsted Keynes so it was a trip down memory lane for him and it was nice to hear them reminisce including how Harold McMillan used to live there and Jon once sang in the choir for him!

Arm-less?
Had another trip back to the pharmacy again this week, as my urtacaria showed up again big time on my arms! Ouch! Didn’t seem like it wanted to go away this time, so had to have high dose hydrocortisone again. Boo. I blame the heatwave as usual!

Happy Father’s Day Son
What a lovely little saying this is! Especially for my lovely boy who has turned into the most amazing dad. Happy Father’s Day to everyone who is celebrating, and thinking of those of you who are not.
Exclusive – on this week’s newsletter (sign up to get yours in the inbox every weekend), the exclusive content is more funnies from my silly man H!!
Watch – Legends
We REALLY loved the Netflix series called Legends! Steve Coogan plays one of the roles and Tom Burke (the lead in Strike) plays another, with a couple of other really good performances – it’s the one about border force undercover agents in the early 90s, breaking a drugs network. Based on a true story. Very good! In fact it’s excellent. It took me about one and a half episodes to get into it and I think there are six. But the buildup towards the climax of the story is genius, I loved the plot twists and if it’s based on a true story I now want to read the book!
Another thing that entranced me this week was an early Kate Bush talking about her lifestyle and dancing. She was so cute! And she was one of my absolute heroes of music and still is really. See it here.
Having said that, the Take That documentary (and the Michael Jackson uncovered one) are also on my list!
Funny – Here’s a funny from the USA, on our sister channel there – a bit of over sharing from a caller, don’t think we’ll ever do that sort of tassels here in the UK!! See it here.
Thought this saying was quite amusing, and very true about my ADHD. Although I need to hyper focus and finish my book!

Also loved this saying, and so true! The things I remember knowing in the 70s are actually 50 years ago so that’s even worse – the same distance the other way means in the 70s we would’ve been talking about things that happened in the 20s! Signs of getting old, people!

Also… Cats on Instagram… This made me chuckle! What can I say! See it here.
Vlog – Stop press #Fridaybantz from QVC guest lounge with the Gatineau gang !! X See it here.
Book of the Week – Well I stuck with Peter Murphy and his Ben Schroeder legal thrillers and it has now taken me onto ‘One Law for the Rest of Us’ – Book six I think. (I really liked the last one in the end, it was very good. The ‘calling down the storm’ one, about a high court judge who had gambling problems!) Well this new one is very different again, he writes quite a varied storyline in each of his books I must say. This time Ben is involved in helping to get justice for a mum and her daughter. I see there’s another three books after that so I think I know what I’ll be talking about next week!
