Hi! Hope you had a good week. Me and Mum spent an afternoon together and it was great fun. First we went to the coffee shop/café in the Garden Centre in Lower Morden Lane, round the corner from dad’s graveyard, and we had a lovely lunch and did a little tiny bit of shopping and had a nice chat.
Then it was time to tidy up the grave ready for putting some Christmas stuff on. Mum did a really good job with the secateurs, chopping the rose bushes back harshly ready for new growth next spring. We gathered a few of the remaining roses to take home and put in some little vases, then I took some round to my sis when we got home – see the top pic.
I also did a little work on my balcony, where my Thomson and Morgan TSV Rosebush from a while back is flourishing, look at this beauty! Such delicate hues of yellow and pink. A lot of colour on the balcony still but I’m sure the frost is just around the corner.
Had a quick FaceTime with Richard Jackson this week and Mum because she had a question about one of his products and he was very kind. She uses lots of his stuff including flower power obviously, and told him so, he was really happy! Follow Richard in order to get his weekly email of what you should be doing in the garden. Hope you’re happy with your garden at the moment! On QVC the gardening shows have ended of course, and we’ve literally just launched the new Xmas sets and new Christmas guarantee, where anything bought as a Xmas gift can be returned after Christmas, until the 25th of January! Check out the new promos of all of us having fun by the Christmas tree et cetera, we recorded them quite awhile ago but they’ve done such a good job in the editing and promos department. Kaleb goes to the Fair
My goodness it was hot last Friday and I picked up my lovely grandson and took him to a small fair, in Parsons Green, after going to the playground for a bit while we waited for the fair to open.. He had so much fun but he was absolutely shattered afterwards! There were only about five or six rides already set up when we went to the fair, and I said he can have 10 tokens and it was two tokens per ride. He liked one ride so much he went on it four times bless him! And the nice man gave him a free ride on the aeroplanes! Another afternoon babysitting this Friday 🙂 love my time with my little kiddies.
Phoebe bd trip
Talking of whom, was so nice to take a flying visit to Wales last Sunday, the only day I could go and give Phoebe her birthday present – an early celebration because they are away. Bought her a nice big beanbag sofa for her room amongst other things, and then we all went to lunch. In return Phoebe drew me an interesting tiger picture, bless her little heart. It was lovely to see them and again it was gorgeous weather!
Kim Comes to Q!
In case you missed it Kim Mendelsohn was back at QVC for another today special value, it flew out and sold out early! She does make some good clothes! We go back a long way, on QVC as she was first here around 1997, I remember it well, and it was lovely to see her, all the way from Montréal Canada!

Watch – Downton Abbey – Grand Finale
Went to the cinema, watched the final one. Lots of things rounded up and given a nice neat ending. Lots of wonderful appearances from all the regulars and quite a good final conflict in a story surrounding Lady Mary. Beautiful period detail, fascinating social commentary all the way through. And at more than one moment, I had tears in my eyes! Recommended! Eight out of 10.

Book of the Week – I can’t believe I’m writing this but after eight long years, Dan Brown’s latest Robert Langdon book is out! ‘The Secret of Secrets’ starts with a disclaimer – that all experiments listed are real! I can’t wait to read it, 22 hours long! I have read all of the others and really enjoyed them, I also quite enjoyed the films with Tom Hanks. Some people in the book world can be quite sniffy about Dan Brown but my goodness he knows how to sell a book and create a story! And that makes it fine by me. Watch this space…
