Had a super day out on Location this week, but firstly, if you’re one of my regulars, I just wanted to invite you to my event/holding group on WhatsApp. I’m going to start posting there, for those people who don’t do Facebook, about upcoming things I’m involved in!
(There is an interim step, which is firstly to join this group so I can filter out who everybody is, before they join, with a simple question or two about QVC. So join here and I’ll then transfer you to the main group)!

Look forward to seeing you there. Also talks about the event in June. Can you come? If you were thinking about it, can you get your ticket for me now please? We are gathering momentum and lots of people have started to buy theirs. There is a limit, it will include nibbles and a wonderful demonstration. Half of the afternoon tour tickets with Patrick Hoy have already gone! Come meet some QVC faces and other people with like-minded interests and find out more about medical detection dogs, meet one of the doggies and the owner who relies on the dog for life changing assistance! What an afternoon! 12 till 2 pm (longer if you buy Patrick’s version of the ticket!) Just off Whitehall, London, 10th of June. More info here.
Kew Kew (BarleyMcGrew)

Had a freezing day out in nearby Kew Gardens this week filming more footage for QVC plus (press the red button on your remote control, lots of special content just for there). And other platforms. Lovely being amongst the wildlife and with two of our favourite guests Adele and Michaela. Had some great chats and some right laughs. The gist of it was a menopause journeys, or what Michaela’s learned from being on the sofa in our menopause your way shows – I present the one that’s usually the first Monday of the month, if I’m not away. There’s one at the end of April actually. Lovely to share such experiences et cetera with lovely pals.
Vlog – a fabulous day out and here’s a summary of it, not quite a Vlog it’s a reel, but enjoy it! (See it here).
SNIPPETS

Ready for my close-up Mr DeMallard!
Okay, so it’s not a mallard duck, it’s a goose, but my goodness they were friendly! I hope some of the footage makes it onto the final videos. At one point I was sitting on a bench with my legs crossed and a duck practically had its neck on my ankle because it was trying to get my laces! So funny! A wonderful place to visit, I’ve been there before and gone on the walk with the grandchildren. Brad lives in Fulham and it’s a place he sometimes takes his family. Must go back there again this summer. #KewGardens
Pixify Mesmerises!
I downloaded a new app this week called Pixify and it takes old photographs and makes videos out of them, just short ones but my goodness me this is incredible! This one in the garden in around about 1970, or 71, was stunning! And I had the most wonderful one with my lollipop when she was a baby, being held by my dad, and they’ve animated it and it is so lifelike! I put it on my socials this week. Search #DebbieFlintBlog on Twitter/X to find more!

Craig, Samba, Sea and The Sun!
Look at our lovely colleague Craigy, being featured in a huge article in The Sun! I really hope he does end up on Strictly, he would be brilliant and would probably win! He’s a superstar in the making! And QVC will have been part of his journey. Let’s all ‘ohmmm’ it for him!
Watch – funny ADHD comic – this (here) made me die, this is where my lateral thinking brain goes the whole time whenever I hear anything, about anything! Hence why I’m such a nightmare in a meeting room when people are coming up with plans, my brain is always going, ‘but what about this, and what about that!’ LOL. Imagine living in my head! Second thought perhaps don’t!

Also – ‘The Score’ at the theatre! So glad I made the effort to go and see this with last-minute tickets, second row in the dress circle for only £31 each! Went with my lovely friend Carla from work. Brian Cox (from Succession) was outstanding, in nearly every scene, it was funny, dramatic, and thought provoking, the story of Bach and how he challenged the king in the 1700s in Russia. Stellar! Ends soon, so be quick.
Blooper – the most crazy blooper you’ve ever seen! And it’s a bit rude. That’s why I’ve had to put it over on my newsletter! Sign up to my newsletter which comes out to your inbox every weekend, by pressing the word newsletter at the bottom of this page. Then you won’t miss them in the future, it alerts you when the new blog is out and has exclusive content like that!
Meanwhile… Oh my God this is funny and I laughed out loud! Can you imagine all this effort and then this happens! (See it here).
Also this (here) was funny… A very retro one from That’s Life!! is yours like that end one?
Then, a totally not retro, completely up-to-date one, from one of the funniest posters on Instagram! If you really want to laugh watch this (here) about Autocorrect fails!
And finally, (because you can tell I’ve been spending some downtime, late at night, doom scrolling) I also laughed out loud at this (here)! I try to remember it whenever I get lost in a dopamine-seeking spiral…!!
Book of the Week – So excited that one of my favourite authors, Elly Griffiths (who previously enthralled me with the Ruth Galloway forensic archaeologist series) has got a new series out and it involves a new character and time travel!
Book one – the frozen people.
Ali Dawson and her cold case team investigate crimes so old, they’re frozen – or so their inside joke goes. Most people don’t know that they travel back in time to complete their research.
The latest assignment sees Ali venture back farther than they have dared before: to 1850s London!
I actually can’t wait to get stuck into this! (I just finished Book 18 of the Scarpetta series, which was an arduous task as I had to listen with Alexa reading it from my Kindle book! Flipping ages! And it’ll also be a relief to get back into the wonderful Audible versions, with the next one called red mist, Book 19!)
