Had a lovely time with my fab friend down in Devon, she is the big 6-0 next week. Went to lunch, and I had the most delicious omelette in Okehampton. Then chats, then the movie, (Bridget Jones – see below!) Then giving her a lovely present which included her favourite flower. All I can say is she’s been as good as a friend to me, as she would say I have been to her. I really appreciate my mates down in the South West! Have a lovely day on the first, Caitlynne. And also to my indispensable housekeeper and mate Sian, who has a birthday on the same day, lots of love to you too and thank you for everything!

Another super friend is Debo Sellis, mayor of West Devon Borough Council and a good pal. She had a fundraiser at the weekend with a really interesting speaker talking all about his life as an officer on the Royal yacht Britannia in the late 70s and early 80s. So fascinating! And it was lovely to go along. I forgot to take a picture of me with anyone so here’s a picture of Debo thanking everybody for helping her with her county councillor campaign!
And then it was off to the conference which I’ll report on next week!
SNIPPETS

Which Finger??!
Which finger to put the Elemis cream on around your eyes… Model Daniel had never done it before and thought it didn’t matter! Oh how we laughed! No, he was a good sport and posed for this afterwards! Bless him. Hope they let him back in again another time!

Lesley Loves…
…last weekend’s big offer for cozy home! Look at her face! I guess I won’t see that again! Serves me right for taking it in there to use her nice tidy bedroom for some socials :-). She was absolutely over the moon with this lovely yellow set! Beautiful colour isn’t it?

Evie the Auntie
Went to my niece Chloe’s house at the weekend for one-year-old Ophelia’s birthday party – not that she’ll remember! I saw my brother and his lovely daughter Evie. Evie is an auntie to 7 little ones, now, including half-sister Chloe‘s little Ophelia. So nice to see everybody. Well done Chloe including for the delicious cake and for keeping your calm with the house full of people in Greenwich!
Exclusive – on this week’s newsletter (sign up to get yours in the inbox every weekend), the exclusive content is a really funny picture of my son. People always say how handsome he is, well wait till you see this! LOL. (Make sure you subscribe if you want to see the exclusives in my weekly email to you!)
Watch – oh my goodness the Bridget Jones film! We cried, we laughed, we had such a smashing time, and what a great movie it is. All I can say is go and see if you’ve never seen any other Bridget Jones’s but you probably wanna watch the first three before you watch this one. I think we need to have a Bridget Jones Bonanza and watch all four in one day at some stage. Maybe I’ll do it at my house in Devon before I move out!
Funny – this made me smile, well done Sarah Millican – such clever, harmless humour 🙂

Vlog – did this down in Devon this week and had a little mishap, I misspoke right in the middle… “There are some things you can’t see,” watch this week’s #thursdaybantz to find out more! (however there are some things that you won’t be able to see, basically Facebook are no longer keeping Facebook live videos on Facebook! They’re all going to be deleted after 30 days! What a shame, we won’t be able to look back through the hundred days of singalong-a-Debbie from lockdown… if anyone knows a way of saving them please pass it on!) See it here.
Book of the Week – It’s another Kay Scarpetta, this time book 12. I have to say book 11 was a real nailbiter. And book 12 kind of continues the story and is very good – kept me very well entertained throughout my trip to Devon again. But in the meantime, why not give ‘Bridget Jones – Mad About the Boy,’ the novel, a go – there are a couple of funny sub plots they didn’t include in the film, like one including Twitter and including the neighbour opposite for instance. One of the best audio narrators ever in Samantha Bond as well. Have to recommend it so highly and a new film gets a 9 3/4 for me!!
