What a smashing week! Went to London for a brilliant virtual exhibition, see below. Took the London grandchildren to Wales for Easter to see the Welsh clan. And lots of other stuff!
We were lucky on the first day of arrival, after driving down late the night before and staying in my usual hotel near lollipop in West Wales. Because it was sunny! Had a smashing time with all my grandchildren playing with each other and a joy to see them getting on so well. Playing with their toys, going out for walks, chasing Lauren‘s chickens, doing crafts, watching telly, reading, and doing some activities I’ve seen in a few posts on social media! I really like having four, and I’m so lucky to have two of each. If it started getting loads more than that I think I’d have a problem handling it, especially cause I only ever had two kids of my own. Two of my siblings have got seven each! My sister‘s got three currently but she’s got four children and only one so far has produced! She’ll probably end up with the most! You can imagine how difficult it is trying to arrange everybody for a get-together for a big photograph for mum this summer – she has five children, 16 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren currently!
Was great to spend time with my daughter as well, we were discussing amongst other things grey hair! LOL. (I’m growing a little Mallen streak – you have to be a certain age to get that meaning – and will keep you informed as the months go by but meanwhile I’ll cover it up with ‘colour Wow’!) Plus her hubby made a pizza night for all of us! With his outdoor pizza oven. They were like professional ones – he’s such a star, did the pastry from scratch and everything! I had a little boo-boo with mine which I interfered with too early, bit doughy in the middle because I didn’t roll it out well enough LOL still tasty though LOL

Vlog – and staying with Wales, here is a little vlog on a walk just to show the size of the two boys now! Also talked about it in my #Thursdaybantz Live on Facebook too so have a catch up there if you wish! (See it here).
SNIPPETS

Totally Tutankhamun
Went with my lovely friend Gill S to the Tutankhamun virtual exhibition in Excel this week, and my goodness was it exciting. At one point we really felt like we were enjoying the rides that our headsets were taking us on! Lots of different places where you go and there are people sitting connected to headsets – very ‘Minority Report!’ Didn’t learn much more than I already knew but experienced it in a completely different way! Bearing in mind that I used to get books out from the library about King Tut, Howard Carter and the famous archaeology dig in Egypt, when I was eight! I nearly made it on a cruise down the Nile in 2010 but it was the year of the riots and the very weekend we were going all the trips were cancelled. I will get there one day. Maybe with Gill! Got to sort my life out to free up some more space first!
Medical detection dogs latest
In the run-up to the June event on the 10th at lunchtime (go here to buy tickets, look at what this little pooch has been up to lately! Here’s a fascinating behind the scenes tour, and remember this is about dogs helping humans – come meet some of them and some QVC people at lunchtime on June 10! (See it here).
Would love to see you, do come!

80s Mania Musical
Madonna eat your heart out, my lovely sis and I went to see Craig Revel Horwood‘s production at Wimbledon Theatre on Saturday and it was really good! It was a late Christmas present for me from her and packed full of fabulous 80s music, peppered through a tale of two friends across the ages. Proper time slip with some really good actors and singers. Sam Bailey was one of the headliners, with a couple of other really well known actresses and even Sonia herself had a cameo! Thank you sister, really good fun!

Flashback Friday
What a lovely picture this was, one of my favourites from years gone by, 12 years ago to be exact. My goodness me menopause has got a lot to answer for! (By the way I was wearing a big push-up bra but also the fruits of the sea/ocean pattern Kim and Co that I always talk about. It’s in a medium. Would love to get back down to small enough to wear it! That’s my ambition for the summer)! LOLX
Exclusive – on this week’s newsletter (sign up to get yours in the inbox every weekend), the exclusive content is… hobbit feet! A behind the scenes comparison of one of the guest’s tiny narrow size 5 feet, against my very wide 7 1/2 EE Clarks plates of meat. And then a picture of a fellow presenter’s foot next to mine. They said why do you call them hobbit feet I said cause I can do this with my toes. Most people go ‘yuck how do you do that!’ But this fellow presenter went ‘so can I!’ Lol. And an adult ADHD thing! Sign up for the newsletter at the bottom of this page if you’d like to get it in your inbox every weekend.
Watch – apart from the above ‘now that’s what I call a musical’ (which is highly recommended of course), here is a quick bit of science-based stuff for you, watch this, really fascinating! The power of vibration… who knew this would happen! (See it here).
Funny – my version of how to fix things if I’ve not got my eye mask… LOL this got loads of views on Instagram. Shows what people like looking at nowadays! Mind you no surprises given how long I sit looking at cats on Instagram for relaxation and dopamine hit! 😁 (See it here).
Book of the Week – Julia has a new one out! Yes, my lovely QVC mate Julia Roberts’ latest is available for download.

‘Just Like Her Mother’ sounds very good, the write-up is excellent, check it out on Amazon or elsewhere. Basically a happy family are infiltrated by a horrible boyfriend of the daughter, but what is the secret they’re all hiding that might get rid of him forever! Looking forward to reading this one on Audible! Well done Julia!
