Crazy crazy times with lots of trips to Devon for leadership hustings I was helping to organise. The top pic shows me and my friend Allison the police and crime commissioner at one of the events. She’s fab. (If you get my newsletter, the exclusive this week is who I think will win)!
Also had a super show when I got back on QVC with Michael Douglas of MD London, Davina McCall’s partner of six years. Davina was on the 9 o’clock show with us and they did a funny with me in the dressing room on my socials :-). Fab hairdryer by the way!

Grandson Fun
Missed the kids terribly once they left last Friday and I was all alone in my place in Devon again, I was a little bereft. However I’ve got so many photos from the holiday last week, this one made me smile – playing with little Jasper whilst he’s still small enough I can lift him up and tickle his tummy! Magical times. Lifted my spirits no end!
Was also a little sad at the end of last week because I found out about poor Fraser Anderson passing away, one of our Facebook regulars. There’s a tribute to him over on my newsletter this week and #Thursdaybantz was talking about how we could do a memorial for him. So sad.

Gut Magic
Regulars will know I’ve been going on about the Microbiome in your gut for years and years and years, 10 years to be precise! Well it now seems to be getting a bit more frontline. Saw this full page article last week. If you’ve got anything wrong with you, do some research into how the gut/immune system/Microbiome could be affecting you. That’s why I take high dose fish oils every day, as well as probiotics and lots of healthy food to feed the gut bacteria. One day this will be mainstream that’s for sure.

Sometimes it’s just got to be done! Mum was glad to see me, we went to do the cemetery, and watered Becky my niece’s plants on her allotment, and caught up with Alison our lovely friend and sister-in-law. So we all treated ourselves to lunch at mum’s favourite café, the Silverspoon! Lol.
Funny – got to laugh at this one, I still remember grazing my knuckles picking up lolly sticks on those old-fashioned roundabouts! Do you?
Book of the Week – Keeping me company on those long journeys to and from Devon is Elaine Everest and her wartime Woolworths Girls saga; so many books in the series, I’m delighted! Now on book four, just as the war ends. Following the fortunes of the group of friends and their families. Really loving it, I like spending time with them, I’m also enjoying how she crafts a bit of conflict into the lives of these Kent folk during and after the war. Very nostalgic, loving it 🙂
