Another year for my boy, another trip up London for our favourite outing, supper then a show. The show was ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’ – done as a musical. And very good it was too. If you love folk/Irish/Cornish type music you’ll love this. (Even if the music was a tiny bit too loud for me to hear some of the voices!) But it was done so cleverly and even though there weren’t any special effects on the backwards-aging of Benjamin Button, we were expected to use our imaginations. Well we did have actors and actresses playing opposite genders, children, and even a sheep! So it was just a case of ‘imagine this!’ Superb musicians too, each and everyone of the cast. Imagine they’re jamming during rehearsals! Anyway highly recommended. Was lovely to go once more with my boy.
We also had a lovely supper. It was on a day where I did lots, and the day before I had an event as well. And then I had meetings this week. And it’s been non-stop again. Which was made all the nicer because of the weather. Check out my Vlog link below for more!

MYW – eye-opener
At QVC this week, Jo Fuller of themerrymenopause.com, said something interesting – imagine your ideal day in five years’ time, what would it look like? How do you get from here to there…? In my ‘menopause your way’ show (first Monday of the month) she offered some hints and tips, during an action packed show. But it got me thinking. How DO I get from here to there?! I love it when somebody makes you think in a way you’ve not thought before, don’t you? Watch this space…

Super Supper
Had another event in London on Tuesday night, which was very good fun, well attended, amazingly delicious food, and some fabulous friends and banter. Don’t forget in the same venue just off Whitehall on June 10th at lunchtime, I’ve got my Medical Detection Dogs buffet lunch and demonstrations! The link will be done hopefully by next week! And watch out for MDD at Crufts this year!!

RHS Wisley with the Family
Don’t you just love this picture? It might be a contender for one of my photographs of the year in the end of year review! One of the things I did when the kids were down last weekend was we toddled along to RHS Wisley. They’ve got lots more there, not just Gardens. Although these were beautiful. And we had the most amazing weather. Could not have been better. And a lovely way for the kids to see each other. Notice how little Jasper is nearly the same size as cousin Kaleb! And he is only 6/7ths of his age! (One is 3 1/2 the other one is just turned three) had a lovely time anyway and made some more fabulous memories.
Exclusive – on this week’s newsletter (sign up to get yours in the inbox every weekend), the exclusive content is a really funny clip I couldn’t possibly put on my blog!
Watch – The White Lotus – sooooo good!! Glad I finally got round to watching it! Such brilliant characters and conflicts, in a posh hotel in Hawaii. Binge watched series one, three episodes at a time, really enjoying it and looking forward to seasons two and three!
Prime Target – Apple TV – starring Leo Woodall, (recently in Bridget Jones Baby as Rockster). A gifted Cambridge student gets embroiled in an international code breaking security scandal. Little bit ponderous, waiting for it to get going, but he plays a slightly different type of character which makes a change! Well, I’ll persevere for awhile…!
Also check this out (here), very satisfying to watch! Would you do it?
Funny – peculiar animal noises, it made me smile! (See it here).
Plus this one – can you guess what I’m trying to tell you about what happened this week? (Answer at the bottom of the blog**!)

Vlog – well you can choose to have a little catch up with my #Thursdaybantz here.
Or maybe a little Vlog from the most beautiful sunny day in London when I was in between appointments this week. Couldn’t have asked for better weather for my boy’s birthday trip! (See it here).
Book of the Week – I’m afraid I stuck with Kay Scarpetta, and book 14, ‘Predator,’ is equally as gripping and mind-boggling as I try to work out the ‘who done it!’ Very cleverly full of detail regarding the various processes to do with forensic investigator and previous chief medical examiner work (the author used to be one). And very, very well narrated, with excellent characterisation. I know they are following a pretty predictable format, and somehow Scarpetta always seems to get herself in a little scrape at the crescendo, but I’m enjoying them and the developing relationships between the main characters. She’s got a winning formula there that’s for sure! Hopefully when I’m a grown-up and writing my books again, I’ll do the same! I’ll certainly take a leaf out of her book… Literally 🙂
