How lovely to see Susie Adams, our old mate from Northern Nights bedding range years ago, return to our screens last weekend! Took this fun picture with all of the bedding girls, behind the scenes in the guest lounge, during a live shift; such lovely people to work with and we had a great time and some fab products, bought myself a new feather and down duvet, can’t wait to get in it!
Wales Trip: Doing “Thel-Mum & Louise pt 2” 😃
This was a great trip as well although Mum made me get up at 5:30 in the morning to drive to Wales by lunchtime and yes I was keeling over by teatime! Was lovely to see mum with the kids, just two of her 21 great grandchildren! She spent ages talking to Jasper and Phoebe, and hours with Lauren, reminiscing over old pictures, about her life. I love seeing my girl with my mum!
One of the highlights was also going for a long walk and we were really lucky on Saturday afternoon with the weather – The sun shone! Wow! We also stayed in a lovely B and B/Hotel and had a fabulous breakfast the next day before heading back to see the kids again for a few hours before I went to work on Sunday night. Very nice too, spending time with mum – even though we had a mash disaster the week before (see last week’s Blog!)
I hope we can do lots more trips like that :-).

Catching up with Cousins and Saying Goodbye
Had sad funeral of my lovely uncle David Bareham this week. One less Dave in the family. 😒 He was my mum’s sister‘s husband, and played bowls with Mum a lot and visited. He helped me with my very first car, an old Austin 1100, if it broke down he would be there like a shot! Lovely guy. His son Tony and his fabulous family were also there, pictured. And we caught up afterwards for a bite to eat; haven’t seen them in ages and after the sadness of the funeral, it was a nice follow-up – once we had been to the wake with David’s poor widow, second wife Cathy (whom he adored). Sadness and happiness all in one day.
(That was also the day that I not only then went on to an accountants meeting, I had a board meeting straight after that at the flats, then had a bite to eat and then went to work! Haven’t had a day like that in awhile and I don’t want to repeat it in awhile either!)

Funny! – Okay so it’s a joke told by someone else, but I quite liked it and it really made me laugh out loud because I originally thought it was somebody’s comment and it turned out to be a joke! It was during my Thursdaybantz this week. Which was actually a bit of a litany of disasters considering what had happened that day…

Funny 2 – and they are a funny two! Yes this week Dale and Charlie were back on the screen together presenting a jewellery show for the first time in 10 years. Really nice to see them together having fun! More please! (See it here).
Book of the Week – You look good in a coffin by Katy Brent.
Yes, Kitty returns, and one of the guests from my retreat, author pal Katy Brent has her next dark tale on release this week. The follow-up to “How to Kill Men and Get Away With It,” I can’t wait to read the next exploits! Meanwhile I finished Ruby Flynn, by Nadine Dorries. Mum and I listened to it all the way down to Devon, then all the way to Wales, and finished it on the way back to London! Very good, not as good as The Four Streets, but still worth listening to if you like a good saga!
