Bank Hol Family Fun and Sneaky Peeks

Weren’t we lucky… Almost, with the weather on bank holiday? Having come back to work with a bump over the weekend, (some long shifts including one 3 hour stretch!), I enjoyed a lovely bank holiday afternoon down near my other half Howard, with Brad my son and a couple of his friends as well who turned up later.

We went to ‘trading boundaries’ near Uckfield, where a 60s group were playing and everyone brought garden chairs and picnic blankets, and they had a barbecue. The food and drink were really expensive, but the band were good although I ducked out for some of it to be with the kids.

Blake and Kaleb really enjoyed a bit of ‘mini-putting’ the pub had kindly set up on one of their lawns.

And I took Brad and the kids down to ratchet’s farm nearby to go on the bouncy castles which they also enjoyed hugely.

Howard was brilliant with them as usual and Kaleb loved climbing on him! The exclusive this week is over on my newsletter, a pic of them together 🙂

We had a couple of showers, when we sheltered indoors for a little while! But it was a nice afternoon all in all. Hope you had a good weekend as well!

Walking Weather

Got back from the bank holiday event and went for a lovely walk, first one in ages, see Vlog below! Must do more of that.

Lemon bush

Had a nice day to myself this week and got lots done, the flat really needed a bit of a clean! And sorted a bit more on the balcony with the plants. This summer has been so hot I’ve even got lemons growing on a bush! Then went swimming and to the gym, I love it when I’ve been it’s just making myself go in the first place! Nice to get back to it though! 😊

Happy Anniversary Lolly and Nick

My lovely girl and her hubby celebrated their anniversary this week as well. Gosh can’t believe it’s nine years since their wedding! Lovely little puppy Winnie is now firmly part of the family and it was so good to see them down in Devon a couple of weeks back. The dog is definitely a daddy‘s girl! Looking forward to seeing my lollipop in two weeks time, a belated trip for her birthday so happy birthday Lauren for this weekend!

Exclusive – on this week’s newsletter (sign up to get yours in the inbox every weekend), the exclusive content is a cute picture of my other half and my grandson wearing my hat!

Watch – Ronja Stanley aka NewRo on Instagram – one of the funniest content creators out there I think. So original. Love some of her mini songs, and her ‘blessings’ but this one has gone viral, for all my ADHD friends out there looking for solutions 🙂 LOL See it here.

Watch 2 – Jacqui and Katy picking up on a social media trend… Hilarious! The person’s voice at the end LOLX See it here.

Also watched a couple of classic films this week including A Few Good Men (one of the best films ever), And Arlington Road (Jeff Bridges terrorist next door thing.) Plus Margin Call which was good, set around events in the credit crunch. Howard does like a bit of telly!

Blooper – Another one from QVC bloopers on Instagram – Amy Burrows re-posted this and it’s getting a lot of traction! It’s Charlie’s reaction that does it for me! #BetweenMyLegs See it here.

Vlog – New meaning to the word rambling. See it here.

Book of the Week – Finished ‘The Defence.’ Started The Best of Enemies by Julie Mae Cohen – very good so far. Highly recommended! Also dipping into a book called “Attached” – to see if it’s worth recommending to you guys – it was recommended by one of the guests at work who said it helped her with relationships especially when she started out dating someone new. Worth a listen, some enlightening takes on why some of my relationships in the past have been less than successful! And also helps you understand yourself I think, a bit better. I recommended her the book “Let Them“ – nothing wrong with a bit of enlightenment I think, do you agree? 🙂
