Frogspawn. Loads of it! LOL! When lollipop and her family came down at the weekend, we took a trip around the grounds at my flats and low and behold they pointed out something I might not have known – all of this “grey stuff“ is frogspawn! There’ll be lots of little frogs there if the birds haven’t eaten it by then!

The kids loved coming for a few days on their half term from Wales, Phoebe and Jasper don’t get down here very often. Next week find out what happened when Kaleb came for the day, and we celebrated my son‘s 38th birthday (38! Gulp!) on Saturday! But in the meantime we had some lovely family times.

Hysteroscopy

Just my luck at the start of my daughter’s visit, I was obviously knocked for six on the day they arrived because of my hospital procedure! For those who don’t know about it see the vlog below. But basically no hysterectomy, it was a polyp and it was removed. Had that floaty experience that you get after a general anaesthetic and was well looked after by St Anthony’s Hospital in Cheam. Thank you to consultant Miss Ding. All good in the future too, I hope!)

Bruce Bodyblade is Back!

My top fitness device ever, returned last week and I had a lovely lunch catch up with Bruce and his fabulous wife Carrie who came along for the trip. If you don’t know about body blade watch this Facebook live that we did. (See it here). We explained all about why this works so well, so much impact for so little time each week. Plus it was so nice to talk to Bruce, our journey is so parallel, similar age children and grandchildren, interest in politics et cetera and he’s such a lovely guy and so is his wife Carrie!

Conference Clan

So nice to spend time with “my people“, who were all at the conference in Taunton at the end of last week. Had such a lovely time catching up with everybody, despite the current political climate. This was the CWO group who met afterwards in the Holiday Inn Express. Problem was, right next door was another Holiday Inn and half the others went there! LOL. But well done Alison Hernandez for organising and here’s to next year’s! When hopefully things are a bit better out there 🙂

Watch – I mentioned on the telly box this week when we were talking about nostalgia, that I was on The Generation Game and somebody sent me this link! I was 19 and my dear dad was only 42. So funny and my goodness I was so common! Funny watching dad talking and realising what his accent was like at the time, it wasn’t what I remembered at all. How lucky am I to have such an amazing memory of him. Easter 1981. Enjoy! Ps and thank you so much to Michael Dibb!

Book of the Week – Yes, it’s another Patricia Cornwell, and I’m on to book 13! It’s called ‘Trace’, and we are really getting in depth with the dynamics of the relationships with the key players around Kay Scarpetta. Loving spending time with these people and so easy to just put my earbuds in and listen to her whatever I’m doing including exercise, or tidying up for Lauren‘s visit! Really loving this series. And there are 28 of them so lots more still to come. I might try something a bit different next week though.
