Oh my goodness what a beautiful time to be out and about, and last week I went for a walk near Haywards Heath with my friend from Morden Farm Middle School (in the week where we had another reunion with the girls in the class – see my newsletter for the exclusive content!)
It’s been smashing going out and about exercising, and getting some really good steps in. Have also obviously started the Christmas shopping now in earnest.
I also went to the Garden Centre in Lower Morden near dad‘s grave to put on a couple of poinsettia. Then realised that they are outdoor plants. Der. So I’ve now got some pretty flowers in my lounge (and on the landing and in the lobby…) in Surrey!
Had a lovely lunch though and very festive it is there too.

Catch up with Carla
Behind the scenes this week I had a good old catch up with lovely Carla the fashion guest who is one of my favourite guests to be on with as it just feels like talking to a friend for an hour! We had a really successful Kim & Co item and another lovely chat afterwards! Lovely when no one else is in the lounge and we can banter to our hearts content! One of the lovely things about working at QVC – nice people to talk to!
RIP Paul Costelloe
QVC added to the tributes this week, to the splendid, accomplished, UK fashion designer who provides us with so many wonderful designer handbags and pieces. Rest in peace lovely man.
Nine years later
This popped up on my Facebook timeline this week. It was nine years ago this month that I bought and moved into the writing retreat in Devon and I had the two labradors with me at the time. How time flies!

Book of the Week – Bob Mortimer – The Long Shoe
After the delight of reading the funny novel from top comedian Mortimer, (The Satsuma complex), I was happy to see this one popping up. Enjoying it again so far! He’s such a quirky writer! Very compelling.
“Bathroom salesman Matt is at a crossroads. He has lost his job, he is about to be made homeless and his girlfriend has left him. He wants his luck to change and he wants things to go back to how they were. Out of the blue he is offered a job that comes with a free luxury apartment.
