Those of you who have been watching for several years may remember lovely Ali Keenan, who left QVC when she retired about three years ago. Well, she is a good mate and we meet up from time to time. Last week we went to a very special get-together at hers, when she and her hubby Colin were entertaining. She made a smashing starter, salmon with avocado, mango et cetera. Colin made lovely meatballs for dinner, and Ali made a delicious panettone type bread pudding for dessert. We had a really good catch up with them and my old buddy Julia Roberts and her partner Chris, and of course my H! Given that we’re all grandparents, it’s no surprise that the evening ended around 8:30…well it had begun at 3:30 in the afternoon! I hope we can do it again sometime soon.

177300 is no more!
This lovely denim jacket is all that’s left of the item number 177 300, if you’re quick! Yes, it’s the famous “The” Jacket at QVC, from denim and co. But don’t fear, the jacket will be back just with a different item number. Why? Well, there are 90 odd different options and it crashes the system when people try to look it up! So they have to give it a new item number! Watch this space for more news but grab this while you can because it’s under £35!
Stone Me!
This new big deal is a stone bath mat! It’s absolutely brilliant! Check it out online but get yours in a set of one or two, it actually keeps all the water so your floor doesn’t get wet, won’t generate mould or germs, and dries really fast! Just thought I’d mention it because I was really impressed! The QVC socials have a little video somewhere as well!
Clutter Clear Out
Been clearing out again – this was mid task – good job H wasn’t around! But at least he’ll be able to get his coat inside the cupboard rather than hanging on the back of the door whenever he visits! I’m not just doing it for Howard obviously I really enjoy my place being tidy… It’s just hard work making myself get there in the first place!

Watch – Making up for last time – went to the cinema and saw Hamnet – got to say it was very intense, lovely cinematography, excellent performances, I can see why it’s been nominated for lots of awards. About the early years of Shakespeare focusing more on his family and the losses that led to his greatest play. I’m glad I saw it. I doubt I’ll see it again though. 8.25 out of 10.
On Netflix we saw The Rip featuring Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, about potentially crooked cops seizing drug money – they are always good and I have to say it was well worth watching, I might see it again sometime, 8.5 out of 10!
