I was on shift a bit earlier than usual this week on QVC and in the afternoons there are lots of presenters in the same place at the same time! What a great pic this was! Thank you to Will and Julia and Miceal, Craigy and lovely Victoria who is just back after maternity leave. (Oh and Luke, one of the producers, who snuck in the background!) It’s always fun to be around my fellow presenters and we had a right old laugh while we were hanging out together!

I had rushed in from a meeting with lovely Jennie, my mate from Devon who is staying in Chessington at the moment, in one of those hotels that are right next to the car park for the world of adventures? This was a giraffe shaped light in the background, if you can tell? Amidst a Safari style decor – (‘Garden escape’ eat your heart out!) We were chatting about how she is going to take over some of the Devon retreats at my guest house retreatsforyou.co.uk, going forward. That would be very handy! It’s always lovely to see her as she’s such fun to be with 🙂

Time with my motorbike-mad man!

Had a lovely few days down in Sussex again this week with my gorgeous man H. Met some of his friends, and did the pub quiz, and saw a band (more of that next week). His two friends John and Sharon are in the Isle of Man and were visiting because John was born in the village. Had a lovely meal in Lindfield in a pub called The Bent Arms. Hopefully we will return the visit at some stage in the summer! It was great fun. Also got to sit on H’s motorbike – he has two big ones! LOL. (Over on my newsletter this week, for subscribers of my weekly email, it is the exclusive picture!)

Shopping for Blake

My lovely granddaughter Blake is eight on the 19th – yes really. And I got to spend the afternoon with Brad, her and little Kaleb at Westfield. It was a bit hectic but we had some lovely laughs and despite the boy having a tantrum because he chose a toy and then changed his mind but it was too late because he opened it, (I mean Kaleb not Brad ha ha), it was a really lovely day. Then it was off to work. I cannot believe she’s eight. But there’s been a change in her in the last six months where she’s suddenly got so much more grown-up, and has given up wearing pretty pink dresses – now she wants grungy jeans and sweatshirts! Isn’t it funny how that happens around this age. Bless. She made me smile by making a face when I picked up some of the garments I would have normally just bought without hesitation for her, a year ago! Times they are a-changing!

That time of year

I got to see Clover the cava poo at my friend Donna’s house last week – had some doggy love! Must admit I do miss having dogs around. She’s always very friendly when I go to her house every year, when her lovely owner Donna helps me with my accounts. Mind you altho it was late again this year, it was still a bit earlier than normal! One day I’ll get it done proper early! Theoretically…. !!

Watch – really good Traitors series, isn’t it! Loving it and so is H ha ha. Can’t wait for the next one, some brilliant twists this time round. Loved the traitor on traitor action! But a film we saw that was really good was ‘The Adjustment Bureau’. I thought I’d seen it ages ago but enjoyed it just as much. Matt Damon and Emily Blunt pulling a blinder on a big brother type sci-fi influenced romance/thriller! 8 out of 10!

Plus – exciting news from Craig Roe my fellow presenter – this Monday at 7:30 on BBC One he appears on Celebrity Mastermind! Don’t miss it! His popularity on Channel 4’s A Place in the Sun is really getting him places! First Weakest Link, now this. Maybe this year he’ll be on Strictly Come Dancing!

Blooper – thought I’d send you this one of Lorna on the trampette! Very good fun! Those little rebounders are brilliant value as well and work really well to help you make the transition into being more active, because you can do it in front of the telly! Book of the Week – Must say I really enjoyed finishing ‘The Bookbinders Secret’. Very clever, and entertaining. I’m looking for another one, I feel like some kind of legal thriller next, any recommendations?
