You probably know my favourite jacket is 422 100, (it used to be 177 300 but it broke the system so they have to give it a new number!) Well, I met my older lady friends this week down in Devon and two of them were also wearing one of them!
I said that I’ll have to get the others one each and we could do a big group shot!
It was lovely to see everybody including my old singing friend Barry, and they were all very taken with Howard, my man.
Had a really nice group of ladies this week who had all been before, for a tutor workshop about writing a commercial novel. I just have a few spaces left in the July one and I’m virtually full for the remainder of the retreats that I’m running prior to selling up the house and the business later this year (hopefully!) Also had a lovely week of walks, a little one with Mum, her partner and H, down in Sussex, and the day before, his son and daughter-in-law came over with little baby Light! We were so lucky with the weather!

Awwwww Chez Castillon writing retreat is no more. Coincidentally our lovely friends at my favourite writing retreat in France are also selling this year and there are no more retreats there either. Goodness me, what’s going on in the world! And how funny that it’s this year – when I’ve now got someone else to finally go on a date with on normal holidays as a partner, rather than just going on writing holidays with my friends. Coincidental? Or destiny?

Book of the Week – Sacrifice – DCI Jack Warr book 6, by Lynda La Plante. I have really enjoyed this series and the latest is just out. Jack is chasing an art fraudster, and encountering a brutal murder in the process, and getting obsessed with finding the killer. Sounds good! Looking forward to listening to it when I start driving into work every day again next week!
