What lovely weather we had on Thursday, and what a lovely week when Lauren came to stay with her tribe. The top pic was with mum and niece Heather at Priory Farm Park, Redhill. The kids loved Discovery trail, so many things to do!

Plus we had a day at Bocketts Farm in Dorking, and Kaleb came too. My little grandsons loved each other’s company and Phoebe had a suoer time too, amongst the rides and the animals and so on. Including a little horse riding, although the boys were happy just to watch!

Plus a nice supper gathering with extended family at mine, it was a fun catch up.

Looking forward to when they are back again – not long enough with my lovely girl. We packed in as much as we could. Never enough hours in the day tho,’ right?
SNIPPETS

Sunday at ‘the club’
The Bowls Club – sadly not with my first employer, Anthony Berkovi and wife Sandra, (get well soon Sandra) but with our partners; Mum and I enjoyed a Sunday lunch at her bowls club, we were mucking about with this shot! Lovely dinner, one of the nicest Sunday carveries I have ever had!

Coffee with Howie
Had a trip into Epsom to get my new phone a case and a screen protector, and had a coffee in a little café – we tend to prefer the independent cafés if possible. Always time for a nice chinwag! (footnote – dropped it on the floor at Bocketts’ Farm and smashed the screensaver – that didn’t last long! LOL)

Bye bye OTO, hello One Day Offer
After many years we say goodbye to our one time only description for offers, they will be called ‘one day offer’ now. It means that TV lines up with Online, where an OTO is available until midnight!. Big Deals will also become top offers from this weekend. Also the hours are changing. So that we get some gardening and style shows at the weekend as well, we are going to 7 days a week on style, and the hours will be from 2 o’clock till 5 o’clock, with 4 pm every day being garden escape including at the weekends! Please note the Gardening time has changed!
Exclusive – on this week’s newsletter (sign up to get yours in the inbox every weekend), the exclusive content is what I did to Phoebe‘s face!
Watch – The Faraway Tree
It was time to go to the cinema with my lovely grandson Kakeb who I looked after on Monday as well as Tuesday night through Wednesday. What a lovely time we had, and he really enjoyed the film. It’s ever so good. With Claire Foy, that girl from Bridgerton, and some splendid cameos. The only one I didn’t think was quite up to scratch was the oldest daughter, but it was entertaining enough for a kids fantasy book, made long after Enid Blyton wrote it. Worth a watch this Easter if you have kids! He is such an amazingly adorable little boy, very very good, and great company. He’s really growing into his personality as well, which is so nice to see, he started reading books too and knowing more letters which is very satisfying for him!
Blooper – Following last week’s experiences at Widemouth Beach, I found this! They say lightning never strikes twice… LOL I should’ve learned in 2017! See it here.
Plus here’s a second one for you – high jinx on Australian Body Care show Monday night! See it here.
Vlog – the first – #fridaybantz !! Don’t forget my Thursday Facebook live has now moved and is on Fridays from now on. The first one was last week! The next one is tonight! So no more #thursdaybantz. Mind the change coincided with the sixth anniversary of my very first Facebook live (when it was ‘kitchen karaoke’ in lockdown). 100 days of singalongs in 2020 till July, followed by weekly Thursday night live chats, every single week since then – almost without fail. So now because of my new routine with my other half I’m doing it on a Friday night instead, when I’m always at work, apart from once a month! Hopefully I won’t forget! Join me on my Facebook page:
Pt 2 here (I had to start again)
Book of the Week – A Matter For the Jury
Ben Schroeder book 2 by Peter Murphy, about a barrister from the wrong side of the tracks, a Jewish working class boy in early 1960s London. This time Ben is defending someone on a capital murder charge. The ins and outs are intricate, the courtroom scenes detailed. And the author has mixed fact and fiction to create this period peice. With romance in the air, and social injustice all around, then finds his way through… Very good, again. I’m on book three now!
