What a lovely picture my friend Rachael at work did for me! And the perfect way to wish you all a happy Christmas this year. It’s been a busy one as you can imagine!
Had a couple of days down in Devon with The Man, including going round the Christmas market in front of Exeter Cathedral which was just lovely! Shame it was pouring down with rain the whole time.

We were there to make sure, partly, that the place was ready for a big holiday let I’ve got coming up over Christmas and New Year. (Very grateful to have had that booking!) and the new antique perdonium (bit of furniture that Victorians put coal in next to the fire to keep it looking neat) now looks amazing and the place looks good (thank you HK: new man helped me transform it!)

We had a little mooch around in the loft and found a couple of extra bits, put batteries in, that sort of thing, but mainly just relaxed and watched some lovely television. Including one of my all-time favourite Christmas films, Groundhog Day, amongst others, and Four Weddings and a Funeral! Got to love a bit of Richard Curtis at Christmas time don’t you think?

I treated us to a slap up breakfast one morning as well, really made a change to be there just two of us rather than me having to do it for lots of people! I really have not made use of Devon enough. But then in the past I guess I’ve never had a reason to just be there on my own.😁🥰
Anyway as the countdown is on, if you see this in time, if you order before 8 pm on Saturday the 20th from QVC, you still have time to get your presents for Christmas as they should be shipped out appropriately!
Hope you all have the most splendid time of the year! It’s going to be a special one for me, for sure! ❤️❤️❤️🎅
SNIPPETS

Festive Tea Room Meet Up
As you know one of my favourite places is a tea room and we went along to the one in Hatherleigh to meet up with “the Devon girls”. It was very lovely to see everybody, and wish them a happy Crimbo!

American Diner Pitstop
On the way back down the A30 we stopped off on the way home at an American diner I’ve whizzed by a few times and never gone into before. HK said it was one of his regular haunts on long journeys he used to make to Somerset when his late parents lived there, so we gave it a go, it’s certainly 50s style! The food was quite good, even if the waitresses didn’t really understand what we were trying to order! We had a nice stop off from one of the most horrible journeys ever, terrible rain and mist and red lights. If you’re travelling over Christmas I hope it’s not so bad for you and do take care!

Happy birthday Sister!
Another get together, pretty much the same place in the same restaurant with the same lineup of faces except two extras! Happy birthday to my lovely sister Linda, she’s got such a great year ahead as she qualifies to become a counsellor at age 62!! We got her a beautiful Holland and Cooper gilet amongst other things, and had another lovely meal at the rubbing house in Epsom! HK met brother David who he remembers when David was a kid! Just two more brothers to meet and he’s done the set! LOL
Exclusive – on this week’s newsletter (sign up to get yours in the inbox every weekend), the exclusive content is a pic of me and HK in Exeter in front of the cathedral – I’d say very romantic but it was pouring down! LOL
Watch – Oh gosh where do I start! I tell you what we’ve started watching – the new Michelle Pfeiffer movie called Oh What Fun. We did actually ditch out of it and I’ll finish watching it on my own, a bit too hallmark movie for what we felt like at the time! We’ve seen lots of others as well, but I do have my eye on the Matt Rife Christmas unwrapped special, on Netflix, don’t watch if you’re easily offended LOLX
Plus – a very appropriate Christmas funny song. (See it here).
Blooper/Funny – Had a funny little moment on QVC last week, when the new guest from Skechers made a quip. I teased him – he had just explained to everybody that, having worked at Skechers for ages and been chosen by Skechers to be the guest because he was one of their own, he now decided he likes being on TV so much he has taken the brave step of handing in his resignation so that he can develop being a QVC guest… bless him. Don’t forget to check out Skechers on our website and if you order before the 20th of December, you should still get everything in time for Christmas! (See it here).
Vlog – since it’s so appropriate I thought I’d just post this little Vlog of my lovely friend Eilidh having a little look through some of the last-minute gifts you can buy from QVC! (Deadline 8 pm Saturday the 20th!) (See it here).
Book of the Week – Jo Thomas – Christmas at Hollybush Farm
They say Christmas isn’t Christmas without a Jo Thomas festive themed novel! So I started listening to this one, and it’s smashing!
Jemima Jones is driving home to her family’s magical hill-top farm for Christmas…
And on arrival, she soon learns that her dad has been keeping a secret – all is not as it seems, and Hollybush Farm is struggling to make ends meet! Worried about losing the childhood home she loves, Jemima must pull on her winter wellies and get stuck in.
Amid the chaos of chasing after escaping sheep and organising the Christmas tractor run, Jemima begins documenting her slice of farming life on social media. As she builds a supportive online following, she also forms an offline connection in the shape of charming, retired rugby player Llew, her own Santa’s helper…
Really enjoying it! I do love me a bit of Christmas romance! (And this year I’ve got one of my own! Whoop!)
