Back at QVC finally 4 weeks after op! And Winter Wonderland…

Well, after my four weeks convalescing following my operation, (if you haven’t seen the special blog about the hysterectomy go here), it was back to work last weekend finally! A lovely welcome awaited me, including a couple of my colleagues/friends who gave me hugs when I walked in the door!

And thank you very much lovely Julia, one of my oldest friends who I knew before I started QVC in 1994, who was very kind and left me a bunch of flowers to come back to!

I was only back for two days but it did include the sell out Elemis TSV offer! But never fear there’s a big Loccitane one coming up!

Back again tonight (Friday 14th) with a lovely new Lara Pearl today’s special value, some beautiful earrings this time and leverbacks!

Must admit I felt a bit wiped out after the first two days back but I was off to Center Parcs on Monday with Lauren & the kids, so it wasn’t too bad!

Thanks for your lovely messages, it’s been weird being off for this long unable to do anything, and I’m really glad it’s over – in one regard. Has made me rethink my long-term plans though, especially with all of what happened when I was off. Lots of introspection and thinking about stuff! And seeing people I haven’t seen for ages 🙂

SNIPPETS

Winter Wonderland

And what a smashing Center Parcs stay it was. I haven’t previously been there this late in the year, as we usually go early summer. But how lovely it looked – there were sparkling lights and decorations everywhere! We took a mass of pictures, some of which you will see on the newsletter this week (see below for the exclusive). But we had a lovely time, the kids enjoyed it, and it was nice to spend time with lollipop as well. And Nick of course, as well as Phoebe and Jasper, who loved meeting Santa and the elves!

Bit of Butternut

I didn’t realise what this looks like until I’d already taken a picture! This was the final size of the two butternut squash that grew out on my balcony this year! Do I leave them now to ripen or what? Like green tomatoes can go red if you pick & leave them to ripen? Or will they never ripen? I’ll have to have a little Google when I get home! Thought it looked a bit funny!! Ooer!!

Loccitane Deal!

Watch out for this one this Sunday – going to be a really popular one again 254611, already online, just under £70 for a huge value five-piece collection in different options! Don’t miss out! I will have lots of airings of it and I launch it on Saturday night!

Exclusive – on this week’s newsletter (sign up to get yours in the inbox every weekend), the exclusive content is a couple of extra pictures from when we were away, ones you won’t see elsewhere! (Unless you’re on my private WhatsApp group! For my events to do with medical detection dogs!)

Watch – The Choral at the cinema is the next one on my list. Set just after the first world war and kind of a ‘military wives’ meets The Full Monty (without the disrobing, more in terms of unskilled people becoming skilled!) Really looking forward to it! I also re-watched (for the gazillionth time!) Pretty Woman, with my friend from Morden Hall Middle School. That film is a work of art! Also watched ‘Conclave’ with him – and that was absolutely brilliant! 8.75 out of 10! One of my highest marks! It’s the twist I love best!

Blooper – ohhhh Jackie!! (See it here).

Funny – tee hee hee!! (See it here).

Vlog – Santa parade through Center Parcs! (See it here).

Book of the Week – I still have seven hours to go of the very long book Secret of Secrets, by Dan Brown! (So much research! Interesting science stuff though. Made for me). But I think I’ll listen to quite a quick one after that, the six hour long book from 1993 called “Seeker”, by Lynda La Plante, one of my favourite authors.

Susie and Stella have nothing in common, except for the fact that they’re married to the same man – private detective Mike Hazard. When Mike suddenly disappears, the women discover his double life.

The two women soon find out that Mike is keeping more secrets than just his infidelity and his actions soon put them in danger with both sides of the law. They must now track down a missing husband while finding a way to stay alive… Sounds good!

PS  I support Medical Detection Dogs. We raised over £2,300 in our event back in June ‘25. Watch out for another one in 2026! Find out more and donate on this link.

PS want to subscribe to my newsletter? Click on the newsletter button at the bottom of this blog. If you are AOL, Sky or Yahoo, you may have to add me to your contacts in order for it to come through, and sometimes even then it doesn’t. So if you can subscribe with a different email if you don’t get it between Friday night and Sunday night each week, that might help. One lady told me she didn’t get the first one but she did get the next ones. Exclusive content just for my newsletter posse! Thank you all 🙂
