Four weeks is nearly over, postop! And sneaky peeks!

Just like there’s a light at the end of the tunnel, I’m nearly at the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! Being able to exercise again after four long weeks. This Saturday I go back to QVC after my hysterectomy op on the 11th of October and I must say time has flown. I’ll be very glad to get back I must say. And just in time for the big Elemis today’s special value! It’s already online, go here to find out more from Keeley with her fabulous little run through of what you get. Hope there’s some left for me on Sunday night at 10 pm!

Anyway, the rainbow was on the day I got driven to Wales. A double one and it was so vibrant I couldn’t believe it, the photo just doesn’t do it justice! The downside was that it was very rainy but it was all worthwhile!

Had another week gradually ramping up my activity, still getting really tired but less and less after the slightest exertion. Also had a filling which was quite… Relaxing! See below for a funny! Hope you had a good week, I’m really looking forward to going back to work on Saturday afternoon and then Sunday evening!

A Bit of a (final Area) ‘do’

Did my last event for Devon area Association and having stepped down as Area Deputy Chair, I’m looking forward to a bit more free time! Still doing other events in future, just not in that set up. It was a fabulous 80s themed do and we had enormous fun. So nice to be working with my mate Sam Penfold again who did a lot of the heavy lifting. Fortunately for me, selling tickets is a couch potato job! A super 80s menu and an interesting quiz and talk completed the night. Well done all for making it happen, and thanks to the nearly 25% under 26s who came as well! Another success!.

Wonderful Welsh treats

Had a nice picture drawn for me by little Phoebe from Wales this week, her little teeth are coming through at the top now as well. She just loves drawing, she did this in acrylics bless her little heart! Looking forward to spending time with them when I go to Center Parcs next week 🙂

Yes, really

It’s true, it really was the time of my appointment and I didn’t think about it at the time! LOL it was a big filling, and Satch at Surrey dental specialists in Dorking did me proud. Hopefully it won’t be a problem as it settles in. I haven’t had a filling for years, so hopefully it’ll be a while before there’s another one! Although I must admit I was completely relaxed, in fact I nearly fell asleep at one point! Yes, I know it, I’m just weird! LOL

Exclusive – on this week’s newsletter (sign up to get yours in the inbox every weekend), the exclusive content is a snapshot of a couple of the “special guests” at the Devon area event I did on Saturday!

Watch – Springsteen at the cinema.

Had a nice evening out with my lovely friend Caitlynne in Devon and ended up going to see the movie about Springsteen. I must say it was really well acted. I didn’t know the lead actor previously but he’s been in some quite big things apparently. And I didn’t know much about Bruce Springsteen‘s music either but it was really well made (even if the girlfriend was a fabrication and an amalgamation of several partners before he met his now wife). Highly recommended!

Plus – ‘I Swear’ was also fabulous. A powerful film, with lots of profound effects on many who watch it. Highly recommend recommended, 8.5 out of 10. I went to see it with my old friend from Morden Farm Middle School and we had a really nice evening with a supper at mine as well.

Funny – this made me laugh! (See it here).

Vlog – a different one for you this week, something featuring Laura Geller herself on a big TV show in America, just in case you miss our wonderful Doyenne of cosmetics! (See it here).

Book of the Week – I finally started reading the Dan Brown latest, The Secret of Secrets! But I will start reading Christmas books soon. I’m enjoying it, tho,’ lots of science; it feels like I’m in a lecture sometimes, but sufficiently action-packed as usual. This time he’s in Prague: an author & lecturer (whose work poses a danger to the world, according to a shady organisation), gets tied up in a another unlikely, but very readable romp!
