It’s been quite a long time coming and the girls and I have wanted to see this show for a while. So, we got some good tickets via Todaytix and booked supper beforehand! On one of the hottest days of the year we had a fabulous meal at Old Compton brasserie (as normal – we love this place!), where Julia got a surprise late birthday treat. And lovely to catch up with everyone.

I hope to take the kids to go and see Starlight Express at the end of July when Lolly comes down from Wales. And there are so many other shows I want to see. Marie Françoise Wolff said this week that she wanted to come to the theatre with us and so did Adele. So we can always do more of these trips, I’m sure, with my lovely QVC pals.
Hope we can do it again soon!

Monkeying Around!
Talking of Marie Françoise, she bought this enormous Kipling monkey in this week! We had some great shows, she’s such a lovely person. And game for a laugh as you can tell!
Grandbabysitting Galore
Three whole nights in fact! When Brad went away last weekend for a special party abroad, I had Blake and Kaleb from the Wednesday after school until late on the Saturday night. It was really lovely to see them, do some nice things, and have some laughs. We spent hours and hours in the playground in Banstead when I went to see Glenn, and they saw some of their second cousins who were also visiting, in the playground nearby. They loved this circular roundabout thing, they were on it for ages bless them. They fair wore me out and the weather was horrendously hot, especially in their house in Fulham! Going to see lollipop and kids at the weekend, albeit briefly!
BEADLE POPPED BACK!
Glenn and his wife Boki came over from Sweden briefly, and we had a nice catch up. We miss him lots. It was a flying visit, and one of the first hot days, but we got to have some one on one time. I still haven’t been to Sweden. Terrible really. So I’m going to take some annual leave and go there the end of August I think.

Plus here’s something really useful from Martin Lewis himself, about a number you can dial and it will connect you with your own bank, should you be called by somebody and you want to check up on them and you’ve got no idea what phone number to ring to find out if it’s fake or not. Dial 159, you’ll hear a message that relates to almost all the main banks.

Watch – Moulin Rouge at Piccadilly Theatre
You have to see this if you love outstanding musicals! The one weak spot was the leading lady, the second lead was better than her, but she was still okay, singing mostly really good, just didn’t seem authentic like the others.
The guys in the cast and the rest of the women were incredible. Love the Baz Luhrmann movie with Nicole Kidman, then they’ve updated some of the songs and because they were so recognisable, it really made it easy to enjoy!
Funny – this one tickled me this week!
Book of the Week – Really enjoyed reading Simon Michael‘s 10th novel, ‘The Fall Guy’ ft Charles Holborne. Consistently good Just as his others were. Charles has some family problems at the same time as trying to defend a guy who’s been accused of murdering a young girl who died of a drug overdose in a story revolving around Bohemian rock stars at the end of the 60s. He always bases it on actual people and facts from the time and has lots of legal detail during the trial sections. You know the effort you’re putting into reading one of his books is going to have a satisfactory pay off and he’s very good at building up conflict first. Love it! Another excellent book from Simon. More please 🙂
