And finally as promised, here's that funny pic of me in my new bolt-hole, brother Glenn's 'annexe' where he's allowed me to hunker down (very comfortably I might add) whilst I wait for my final 'shipping out' day at end of Nov - with dogs and remaining 'stuff.' Going with it all down to Devon for permanent final move. Then will be coming back half the week to continue as normal with QVC, no doubt staying here in Glenn's hidey-hole! Very cosy it is too... Apart from the occasional visit from 10 and 7 year old nieces. Not that I mind. Looking forward to spending some more time with them I must say. Bit of babysitting in return for lodging couple of nights a week... deal!

Have a lovely week!

Well it's happening this weekend wish me luck! The big move down to Devon. Here is what my house looks like right now as I write this. I will be spending half the week down in Devon helping to run the fabulous writers' retreat centre in Sheepwash called retreats for you - more info here.

For those who missed it the last couple of weeks' blogs have explained more. (see archive, bottom left)

I'm not dropping any QVC days just coming back an forth once a week, once everything is up and running, but the next month or so will be very intense as I settle in nearby, hopefully making plans amidst all of it to get a vintage tea rooms up and running next year! And all sorts of other retreats, not just writing ones. Do you know anyone who runs a regular retreat and needs a venue? Or are you looking to just get away from it all? Email me This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Now I am a patron for Linda magistrates good grief trust, as well as an ambassador for medical detection dogs. I can do as much as I can to help fundraising - but from my new base.

One of the things I may be able to facilitate from retreats for you, is a getaway for the bereaved and greiving people to come and feel supported, talk about their experience and maybe get some counselling from some experts. Considering Deborah who runs it only charges about £90 a night including all meals - And wine at dinner! And afternoon tea coffee cake! - it's always booked out. But maybe something in March - what do you think?

So the dogs are not coming down just yet. They are little bit bemused by all the activity going on in my house, but they will be very happy in their new home in a few weeks time. I rent where I am now so there is an overlap but it will be good to get back on the property ladder. Plus it will be great to have the sunshine into early evening again, as I do not get any at my current place, so as nice as the garden is, I don't think I could face another summer in the shady hollow between hills and trees. I'm also looking forward to getting sky-go including broadband and phone - what a deal, only £46 - I've persuaded them to get it at the new place :-) which also means better broadband, my other big bugbear about where I've been living for the last year. It'll mean less shouting at the screen, and less time spent looking at the little icon going round and around whilst making a 'buffer face...'

Yay! Will keep you informed - wish me luck!

Book of the week - it's a Christmas one! The first one! Sounds brilliant too - from Sue Moorcroft who has released her e-book of The Christmas surprise - click here to find out more.

The health update on my website Back to You blog this week is all about the update on my rare genetic skin condition, I went in the week to see the expert at the Lister Hospital to find out that I am one of only 250 people in the country to have EPP. What is it? Find out more here. But at least not going in the sun most of my life has meant my skin is reaping the reward now, aged 54! Mind you I would have probably preferred to have some fun in the sun over the years... :-)

In my QVC blog this week I will be discussing there are some fabulous funnies, and I look ahead at sneaky peeks to come. If you like buying early, do you go see the Liz Earle today's special value from this Sunday, already available via my earlybird order link here plus the Skechers one from tonight (Fri 21st midnight) if you're quick :-)

So this time next week everything will be gone from my house apart from the bare minimum and I have a question. I'm spending 10 more days at my place before I hand back the keys, and I just need to keep the barest essentials there for popping back. Until we go lock stock and barrel.

So apart from the obvious kettle coffee tea, somewhere to sleep and toiletries, what must I make sure I have not forgotten? I have a Niggly feeling there will be something :-)

Have a lovely week I will send updates and give you regular blogs and also the 'vlogs,' my video blogs here on my Facebook page so do you go like the page and you'll be the 1st to see them - you will see all of them, I don't always share them everywhere else. Also follow me for updates on Twitter if you prefer, @debbieflint and Instagram @debbieflintauthorqvc

Have a lovely week!

Hi all I just wanted to say thank you for this. (Anyone who buys a raffle ticket you don't have to say going because you clearly have already gone!smile emoticon X)

When I first found out about medical detection dogs I was blown away by how amazingly talented these gorgeous creatures are. The lovely canine companions alert their owners when they go below five and above 15 blood sugar measurements, for instance, in the case of serious T1 diabetes, meaning they can live a more normal life - with their routine at least, just taking the dog with them wherever they go.

Secondly this charity is doing research into detecting prostate cancer, early, and more accurately , considering how many false positives the standard PSa measurements give.

When they asked me to be an ambassador I was over the moon, because it encompasses so much. It helps children, it helps all sorts of people with all sorts of illnesses, it helps detection of prostate cancer and even down the line also breast cancer and ovarian cancer, and it won't stop there.

But there is a long 3 yr waiting list for owners to have puppies, it cost £11,000 to train a puppy from start to finish plus £750 a year upkeep, and the more we can do , the sooner someone like eg a little boy or girl under 10 with type 1 diabetes can live a more normal life.

Thank you so much if you could possibly share this page as well - the just giving page I mean, fingers crossed you will get some other people give to it too.

And after all you stand a chance of winning some amazing prizes! Thank you to everyone who is buying more than one it's wonderful to have your donations X

It's here everyone! time to buy your raffle tickets to win the amazing prizes listed in the pinned post! It's an incredible list -https://www.justgiving.com/Sara-Brown14/

And follow the new prizes as they go up on organiser Sara Brown's Fbk Event page here

thanks again - you're all wonderful

Well it's here! The members-only Facebook group 'Back to You QVC' now has a sister page - where people can post links and tips and offers and deals that are not necessarily QVC related, all as requested in the recent B2U group survey.

To like the page and join in using the 'visitors posts' section, if you have anything to swap or sell or ask for go here - Back to You Tips and Deals page.

Webchat

This week's webchat was with Fiona from Decleor and can be found on the Back to You QVC facebook group here (just ping a request to join the 4200 members!) Now it's a closed/members-only group, webchats will not be posted here any longer, but will happen each Monday 8pm as usual.

In Bruce's webchat here on the Facebook group Bodyblade QVC, Bruce talked about what to do as soon as you get his clever fitness device out of the box:

"Once you open the box, start holding the Bodyblade in your hand. Even if you don't do anything with it, walk around simply holding on to it. Now, take the DVD, put it in your computer or DVD player and watch the LEARN section where I teach you how to hold Bodyblade, drive Bodyblade, and use the product successfully. Now, watch the Super6 workout. Even if you just watch, make sure you are still holding your Bodyblade in hand. Now, and this is very important, just try one exercise for 10 seconds. Not a whole workout but just one exercise. I only want to see short term goals. Today, I will pick up my Bodyblade, hold it in my hand, do 10 seconds of one exercise. When you accomplish that goal. Next day you do more. Each day you work toward doing the Super6 workout in some form. As the success rolls in, you won't want to stop, I promise you"

Check out the Bodyblade video in a whole show on our QVC Extra channels, repeated most days - for tV guide go here.

Imedeen skin supplements

Just a little piece about these amazing supplements, used by many celebrities, who don't get paid to use them, including Joanna Lumley who has used them for 20 years or so.

At the weekend I was on with Emma from Imedeen and a better than 'buy three get one free' pack - item 400667 - you can watch the video of our demo on the video on that page too.

Emma explained how taking the little sachet of 4 tablets every day has a 120 day money back guarantee. How is that even possible? Because they believe in it so much - if you don't see results within 120 days you can get all of your money back - 3-6 months is what you should give it. You might see big differences even on your body skin. Such fab reviews on the website too - here are some -

" I am now on my 3rd month of using the Imedeen tablets and I am now seeing wonderful results. It is a case of being patient, although some improvement was seen at the end of the first month. I have seen a substantial improvement in the depth and plumpness of my skin and lines and wrinkles seem improved. I was recommended to take these as my medication was causing havoc with my skin, despite having a high level beauty regime. Taken in conjunction with using my beauty products my skin now looks and feels better. Even had comments on how well I look. Will continue to use as I believe they have worked for me."

The reason I'm focussing on this this week is because at the moment there's a 4 EZ pay offer which means you can pay just £41 or so per month over 4 instalments for 4 boxes (4 months supply) - instead of nearly £60 per box. And at this time of year many of us don't pay attention to what we eat so much, so this can be your insurance to help your skin cope this yuletide. What if you did see the results that so many of those reviewers see?

As far as my own skin is concerned I was very sceptical, given my own healthy eating and taking of supplements. BUT when Emma measured my collagen levels in my skin, they were 47 in January and three months later had gone up to 53  - a ten percent improvement, which she said she hardly ever sees. Later measurements showed them getting higher. And whilst they don't keep going up - they were lower recently during my super-stressful house move this summer for instance, it helps to know I've given my body the extra back up. How about give it a go? you have virtually nothing to lose, with its 120 day money back guarantee - where else can you get that?! Go for it now here - item 400667

Other News -

- One sausage a day can raise risk of cancer There are other summaries online giving a more detailed explanation about this recent news article but here's the Daily Mail's take on the latest food health scare to hit the headlines - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2085889/Sausage-cancer-Pancreatic-cancer-warning-processed-meat.html

- Vitamin D Can this sunshine vitamin aid performance levels in exercise and lower the risk of heart disease? According to one recent study maybe it can - "Around ten million people in England may have low vitamin D levels. On average, one in ten adults has low levels of vitamin D in summer, compared to two in five in winter. Because people with darker skin are less efficient at using sunlight to make vitamin D, up to three out of four adults with dark skin are deficient in winter.

"Our pilot study suggests that taking vitamin D supplements can improve fitness levels and lower cardiovascular risk factors such as blood pressure," said Dr Raquel Revuelta Iniesta, co-author of the study. "Our next step is to perform a larger clinical trial for a longer period of time in both healthy individuals and large groups of athletes such as cyclists or long-distance runners."

"Vitamin D deficiency is a silent syndrome linked to insulin resistance, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, and a higher risk for certain cancers," said lead author of the study Dr Emad Al-Dujaili. "Our study adds to the body of evidence showing the importance of tackling this widespread problem."

This review is from: Till the Fat Lady Slims 2.0 - the 'When' Diet: Break Free from Food Prison Forever (Freedom Eating) (Kindle Edition)
Ms Debbie Flint's book has helped me to completely turn my eating and exercising habits from the worst possible no movement and eating everything in sight to now listening to my body and eating only when I'm hungry and I've completely changed what I eat too ttfls as taught me that sugar is the enemy and I have gone from eating ready meals, tin's and jar's of ready made meals or sauces etc... That all tasted great because they had so much sugar and many other nasties in them but because they said low fat my brain thought fabulous but now I've sugar detoxed and learnt to use freedom eating principles I have list weight inches all over the body I've got my bmi down to 25.7 my blood glucose is down to 4.6 and I now weigh less than I did at the age of 16 and I don't have to resort to slim fast or cabbage soup extreme diets if I put a few pounds on I just re-read ttfls and put all the knowledge and testimonies in there to practise and a week later in ok again I thoroughly recommend this book to anyone who's tried all the diets out there and fails this is not a DIET BOOK it's a lifestyle changing amazing lifesaver of a book and I own it on my kindle and in this paperback version and if I could I'd get 100 stars

It makes me very proud.

Join me again next week and don't forget to check out the rest of this website for other info about my fiction, about my book of the week writing blog RiWiSi and about my charity work for Medical Detection Dogs! Videos to go with Jason Vale’s juicer, plus abandoned webchats – we crashed Facebook!

Ok, Facebook crashed, it wasn’t just us. But true enough, right after the 7-8pm Skechers one on the main QVC page (more of that below) the whole of Facebook went down for an hour and a half or so. Mothers were reporting on twitter that their teenagers were actually coming out of their rooms, other halves were saying they were actually talking for a change (!) and our two webchats with Bodyblade Bruce and with Nikki from Lola Rose were abruptly halted. But like a trooper, both Nikki, Bruce - and Rich - went back on over the next day or so to finish their replies. Thanks to all! Find their Q&As below.

Jason the Juicemaster says… Of course on Sunday it was the long-awaited airing of Jason Vale’s Retro cold-press slow Juicer (with book and DVD – still on QVC.) I love doing juicing now, I must admit, it’s the best thing for my appetite most mornings. For those who missed it, it’s the masticating one which will do wheatgrass, will also cope with ice, nuts (creating almond milk and paste), make banana sorbets out of frozen fruits and take most fruits whole and with skin on. The pulp is really dry and to avoid waste you can add it to muffins, smoothies, sauces soups and stews, and even make a face pack out of it.

Go here to watch the whole 18 minute airing on QVC on Sunday of Retro Juicer with Jason Vale and me.

Now I said on air that I’d been using his juices to experiment with the effect of juicing on my body and in fact it’s made me lose a few more pounds, but I think the best way to get your head around kick starting it is to say to yourself it’s a way of getting gradually off sugar. OR if you just hate vegetables and know you need to consume more of their goodness (assuming you will get your insoluble fibre elsewhere in your diet as most people do. Pectin from apples is a soluble fibre which is very good in the body – google it.) OR to reduce your portion sizes, since the powerful nutrition within the juice blends, I found, actually made my body do a happy dance, which meant satiety – something that many of us strive for. I do especially, with Freedom Eating (see below.) I ate mostly vegetables, and as Jason says, he will opt to eat fruit but juice with vegetables mainly, adding a bit of fruit for palatability (is that a word?) So I will continue to choose to juice and I really like his juicer, I find it ever so easy to use and clean afterwards.

Watch my short clip of how to clean the Retro juicer and reassemble.

So where will you begin , if you’ve bought one, or if you’ve got his 5:2 book and/or if you are going to replace your breakfast or whatever with juice daily for five days as part of his annual Juice Challenge 5th-9th October?

Watch Jason tell you what to do when you first get your juicer and start juicing.

Go here for more info about the five day challenge.

Also do go check on Youtube for some brilliant suggestions on what to do with all the pulp if you don’t like the idea of wasting it – like this one - how to make veggie burgers from juice pulp

Finally there’s the most awesome film he’s made that’s over an hour long, which anyone who hasn’t yet thought about juicing to help their health should watch. For free, on youtube, or it comes with the matching book with QVC’s offer. But if you can watch it on Youtube please do.

Go here to watch ‘SuperJuice Me’ on youtube – four weeks, eight people and a whole load of dramatic health changes.

Keep me informed about your journey – come join us on some of the Facebook groups – links below, or get my Till the Fat Lady Slims book about Freedom Eating and join us here on Facebook.

Till the Fat Lady Slims Update

Gotta love Valerie Cady – lovely lady on our TTFLS Facebook group. She just came back to Freedom Eating and this is what she posted this week – love it –

Do go to Amazon and get the purple paperback or eBook and come join us. Or just read the first section which outlines the six main principles in the free ‘look inside’.

Get Till the Fat Lady Slims 2.0 – the ‘When Diet’ on Amazon – purple version – in ebook or paperback

Makes me very proud.

Webchats this week

Richard from Skechers was the last of my September webchats at 7pm on Qpage – go here to read it and find out more about this weekend’s Fashion Day.

Then we also welcomed lovely Nikki from Lola Rose jewellery and Bruce from Bodyblade but their chats will be posted once they get the chance to finish their comments due to the outage as above.

Next week – it’s going to be Darryn from relatively new brand Stop and Wow and also my lovely telly-hubby Lee Hohbein who will fill you in on all the hi-tech answers you need! 8pm Monday on Back to You QVC group.

Other news –

-          Health Podcast – the heart – regulars will know I love a good audiobook. Well, podcasts abound online for free and you can probably find one about pretty much any subject you like. This site is quite good – the texas doctors’ nutrition site – go here to hear their heart one.

-          Dr Wayne Dyer  - on reasons why things happen in life and how the events he experienced led to his path being followed – if you want inspiration, do try this. Free on youtube or book or audio etc. Here’s a taster. I love this guy. There’s a ton of stuff on youtube for free – immerse yourself. Including his own movie ‘the Shift.’

-          Quinoa in a bowl – I love this too – here are some ideas to help make it tasty! Click here.

Best wishes have a great week

Losing ten stone – Dawn’s story.

Dawn Allen-Homer is one of the most inspiring stories to come out of my Till the Fat Lady Slims group on Facebook, and this week she put up a post which made us all cheer – she’s just topped ten stone in weight lost. That’s – lost. Ten stone – lost. She’s literally half the person she was before and here is her story – the last stage helped by Freedom Eating, the system mentioned in my book, which gave rise to our lovely supportive Facebook group by the same name (links below.)

In April 2015, four months ago, Dawn had lost eight stone and she told me this –

“I think I've done a bit of everything from WW to cabbage soup, but of late I'm combining diet chef with freedom eating,so the last 2 stones or so of those r down to that & i hope the next 5/6 willI be too,”

How did Freedom Eating help her at that point?

“… im amazed that my body actually does talk to me, I've even craved salad, that's never happened before, so ttfls is playing a big part at mo, I'm like u - the deep sigh tells me when to stop. & I had a cream cake the other day & didn't beat myself up about it & go on to eat six of them, so thank u so much for ur book & knowing I'm not the only one whose life has been that way, & letting me know this new way of eating, I'm hugely grateful, u can mention me as much as u like, if it makes some1 else like me read ur book that's great, & again thanku so much x”

Today, on the bottom of the post pictured above, she said this –

“I can't say enough how much freedom eating has helped, the no more guilt is a really big one for me, not doing the, ‘sod it I've blown it let’s eat every bit of food in the house’ thing, the fact I now eat the best bit 1st on my plate, instead of leaving it till last, knowing that deep sigh is a sign I've had enough, for any of u newbies it really works, try it, the control I feel I have with food now is amazing xxxs”

Q1. Dawn what was the story of your weight gain and what made you finally able to start losing?
A1. I have always struggled with my weight, but I got really big after I had my children, having prolly cystic ovaries didn't help, as I can't eat as much as a normal person, so the before pictures are a result of thinking I could. I have been on a “diet” for ever, but started to try really hard in the last few years as my knees got really bad with the arthritis, it's been a bit up down up down, till this year when I read ur book.

Q2. What helped the first part of your journey and why did you stall?
A2. I went to weight watchers & lost a bit but started struggling when I lost my mum, dad, & brother, & as I comfort eat it started creeping on again

Q3. In April you wrote to me that you were now on Diet Chef and that Freedom Eating had really kicked in – how did it help? And what have you been doing for this final section?
A3. The diet chef is because I struggle in the kitchen to cook because I can't stand for any length of time, so the convenience of it, but the freedom eating is what has given me so much control, when I read your book I cried because it was like you were writing about me, the guilt of blowing a diet would make me eat everything in the house, & I really struggled with the clear my plate syndrome.i now eat the best bit 1st, so I don't mind stopping eating. Now if I really fancy something I have it, but I can now stop too, I have learned to listen to my body, only eat if I'm hungry,  when I take that deep breath I no it's time to stop, & I actually enjoy salad now.

Q4. Any benefits you’ve noticed being ten stone lighter, that are NSVs – non-scales victories as we call the on the Till the Fat Lady Slims Facebook group?
A4. So many, I don't want to hide away now, my hubby can pick me up, he's never been able to do that before, clothes are so much cheaper, people who haven't seen me for a while have to look twice before they realise it's me, honestly to many to list.

Q5. What advice would you give anyone with a lot to lose who thinks it’s too high a mountain?
A5. Don't look at it as a big mountain, look at it as little journeys, I only aimed for 7lbs at a time, or it's just looks impossible.

Q6. What has been the turning point for you, in knowing that this time you will keep it off?
A6. The control I have around food now, the lack of guilt if I have what was a forbidden food, it's really hard to explain just how different I feel, I just look at food so differently now.

Q7. How has the group helped?
A7. The group is awesome, it feels such a safe place, I would never of told strangers how much I weighed before, the ladies are so supportive, & you know they are all on the same path as you,& they understand when your having a rough patch, they are wonderful people.

Q8. Any particular favourite parts of the book Till the Fat Lady Slims 2.0 – the ‘When’ diet?
A8. Gosh that's hard, finding out I wasn't the only one with such guilt over putting any food in my mouth, learning that it's ok to have something if you really crave it, & learning that the sigh you do when your eating means it's your body saying, that's enough thanks,

Q9. What does the future hold for you?
A9. Freedom from being enslaved by food, new knees, peace in my heart & mind, it may sound corny, but so much happiness in myself
.
.

Dawn you’ve been brilliant and well done for reaching one of your goals – onwards and downwards as we say – but we all think you look fab already! Thanks for taking part!

BACK TO YOU LIVE WEB CHAT - Terri from Josie Maran -Monday 24th August 8-9pm TERRI BRYANT

Anne-Marie Mason I'm a Josie virgin, by the time this chat starts though that will have changed (tsv on way). Please bring the 'salt spray' hair product as I'm dying to try it. I keep asking guests this lately because I need all the help I can get, you come across as really calm with no cares in the world so I'd love to know how you switch off from everything and relax? x

Orla Buckley Can your products be used on teenager skin. What regiment should be used including exfoliating. Daily/weekly routine. Thanks x

Debbie Flint Fab question x

Anne-Marie Mason Can I also ask please, different ranges use products in different orders, if I need to use a moisturiser as well as the oil does your oil go on before or after please? x

Sylvia Jarvis Good question Anne-Marie Mason

I'm sure this is a common problem as the more products we buy, the more confusing it all becomes!

June Kelly-Bain Terry and Josie stunning xx

Dawn Robinson Hello gosh i can't tell you how much both my daughters love the whipped argan body butter ! Sophie my eldest bought the duo and gave the other to her sister xx

Sharon Harvay Hi Terri! Welcome to our Back To You Qvc group! It's so lovely to have you here! So many of us are thoroughly enjoying the Josie Maran range so thank you for bringing it to us! Which product within the range could you not live without? X

Dawn Robinson Another favourite of my eldest is the argan glow tan ! She loves it x

Debbie Flint Superb! Terri do feel free to reply in order of questions asked! And can I say you're one of the nicest guests I've ever worked with, and what a great range too! X

Terri Bryant Hello! Looking forward to chatting with you all

Janie Smith Ive not used this range before but do love argan oil. Do you do a product for hair that wont leave it limp and heavy please? X

Jan Thompson Hi terry I missed out on the last TSV as I think many did due to it's popularity, any chance you would be able to do something similar again soon I would love to try this range x

Terri Bryant Hi Anne-Marie! I travel quite a bit so home is my sanctuary. We live on a lake in Florida. Something magically soothing for me being on the water….also, my husband, dogs & a glass of wine on the patio go a long way to erasing the stressors of life. smile emoticon At the end of the day my best advice is to surround yourself with people who are supportive & share a positive energy

Terri Bryant Hi Orla! JMC is great for teens. A simple routine of cleansing, nourishing & protecting the skin. For daytime I would recommend Cleansing Oil & Argan Daily Moisturizer with SPF 47. In the evening I would recommend Cleansing Oil & Argan Oil Light (you can replace the cleansing oil with our gentle exfoliating powder 1 or 2x a week in the evening). Also great to consider Bear Naked Wipes for on the go or days when your teen (or any of us) are feeling a little too tired to cleanse wink emoticon

Terri Bryant Hi Sharon! So hard to choose just one product so I might cheat a little and choose 2 smile emoticon ……for skincare I live for my Argan Oil Light & Argan Milk. Powerhouse duo for sure!!

Sharon Harvay oooh fabulous choice!!!! x

Sharon Harvay Terri I soooo love the Coconut watercolour eye shadows! It's great how you can choose any depth of colour with the product. It last soooo long on the eyes! Love it x

Andie Stephany Hi Terri - are we going to get the wonderful tinted Argan Oil? My supply from USA is just about finished

Terri Bryant Hi Anne-Marie. You can absolutely use Argan Oil with your moisturizer if you would like to. Best bet is to use your moisturizer first and then a pat Argan Oil on top…helps to lock in & strengthen your moisturizer while balancing & strengthening your skin's moisture barrier

Janie Smith Sounds like a fab idea Sharon x

Terri Bryant Hi Janie. We do have a hair serum that is great for both treating & styling the hair but my personal little secret is that I find our Argan Oil Light is fantastic for smoothing, conditioning my hair without weighing it down

Sharon Harvay Janie, the colours are stunning, you can either shake it and pat it on for a deeper colour in my top photo, or use a light wash, or as a eyeliner, this is the Rainforest Green and I love it x

Terri Bryant Hi Jan! So sorry you missed the TSV. I'll definitely work with Josie to get something to you as soon as possible. I'll be back 2, 6 & 7 Sept. I don't have a TSV but definitely some fun new goodies to try. xx

Dawn Robinson Love the eyeshadow its fabulous x

Terri Bryant Hi Dawn! So glad your daughters are loving the Body Butter & Self-Tanning Body Wash. Also super lovely that they share…not always an easy thing to do when it comes to our whipped Body Butter wink emoticon

Jan Thompson Thanks Terri, will look forward to your shows, I'm looking forward to trying the foundation soon x

Janie Smith Thank you Terri. I will try that out x

Andie Stephany How are Josie's gorgeous babies? They must be getting big now

Janie Smith Sorry another question! Does you mascara contain the oil and if so does that help to encourage growth? X

Sharon Harvay I love the Brightening face balm too, beautiful texture xx

Dawn Robinson Thank you Terri yes im guilty of of using it when there out ! While the cats away the mice will play...... xx

Janie Smith Sharon i will def be lookinv into those. 3 looks with 1 item. Way to go!

Orla Buckley I have ordered most of your products and tsv, cant wait to try when they arrive. Love to see more products in the future. X

Janie Smith Dont feel guilty Dawn. As if they never use our stuff!!!!!

Shona Robertson My foundation bottle was broken at the top so sadly have had to return to qvc.

Sharon Harvay Janie The purple on your eyes would be stunning!!! Its a 3 set but did sell out x will keep an eye out for you xx

Dawn Robinson That's made me giggle Janie xx

Janie Smith Thank you . I adore purple shades xxxx

Terri Bryant Forgot to mention the Infinity Cream!….a great multi-tasker not only for skincare needs but also designed to turn powder makeup into creams with this product

Janie Smith Dawn i had a very expensive hair mask. Went to use it and husband had finished it as he thought it was the family hair conditioner! Nooooooo

Dawn Robinson My daughter said she would love a body mist (spray) with the fragrance of the body butter x

Janie Smith That sounds clever

Sharon Harvay OOOOHHHHHHH Terri Bryant That sounds amazing, very clever x

Terri Bryant Would love to know of any fun ways you've all found to use your Infinity Cream. We say, "One creamy oil with infinite uses". We've found quite a lot but I'm sure we're missing some wink emoticon xx

Orla Buckley Will we see the new Argan cream moisturiser soon ? I thought i heard them talking about it on qvc us

Sharon Harvay Terri for those that may not have heard before, what was it that Made gorgeous Josie decide to create a beauty range from Argan Oil? x

Aisha London Hi Terri, I was wondering how can you tell if you have a real or fake argan oil I know Josie is real because qvc stocks it. I have seen so many bottles of it having a moroccan husband and always going over there. I just couldn't tell the difference. Please let me know how to be argan savvy its like wine.

Aisha London p.s the tsv is fantastic I've sorted my runny foundation the kit is lush thanks.

Terri Bryant Hi Orla, the cream moisturizer is definitely something we'll look into. We do have a new treatment product coming in Sept. that's truly amazing for dry or under-nourished skin.

Sharon Harvay OOOh that sounds fantastic Terri!! x

Terri Bryant Hey Sharon, Years ago when Josie & I worked together back stage we used all these luxury brand products that made her look great in a photo or walking down the runway but really wreaked havoc on her skin. She wanted to find a way to combine the idea o...See More

Anne-Marie Mason Thanks Terri, I've just put my new oil on now. Oh I just want to get on a plane now and come to yours, it sounds like a real little haven! x

Sharon Harvay me too!!! What a fantastic story! x

Terri Bryant Great question Aisha! A few things to look for when it comes to the quality of your Argan Oil. Want to look for a brown glass bottle to protect the integrity of the oil. Smell the oil. If it has an odor it most likely has had heat applied which burns away all the good stuff (essential fatty acids). Look at the packaging. You want it to be the only ingredient listed as well as should read "Organic & first cold pressed". Sometimes they read as just "cold pressed" but you want the 1st cold press. Anything beyond first is diluted. We also work with the women's co-ops in Morocco to ensure fair trade. Sorry to ramble on here…can't help myself…..really great question smile emoticon

Sharon Harvay Fantastic Aisha, thank you Terri, its really good to know x

Terri Bryant So glad you're loving the TSV Aisha. I was super excited to bring it over and am just thrilled people are enjoying it! xx

Julie Kaye How do we use the highlighter balm in tsv

Any tips please?

Debbie Flint I must say I love the argon milk, being quite new to the range I'm very impressed. Tell us why it works differently from the normal oil, again? X

Anne-Marie Mason Ooh Dawn, there is a spray on their own site, I can't think right now if it's for face or body but hopefully we'll be able to try that soon. x

Aisha London Thank you Terri your not rambling on. I have seen so may so called argan oils in the markets selling in see through bottles so cheap and its such a precious oil you just want to know you have the real deal . I do love it when its nutty in salad . I get so excited about this oil just wish I could sniff it out like a vintage wine

I was super excited to bring it over and am just thrilled people are enjoying it! xx

Dawn Robinson That would be fantastic Anne thank you xx

Terri Bryant Hi Julie! I love sweeping the balm on top of the cheek bones, just over the brow, on the eyelids or just a pop on the inner corner of the eye, along the collar bone. It brings a lot of lift & light to the skin. Another great way to wear the illuminizing balm is after your skincare, use it over the entire face as a primer, then follow with either a little concealer or light powder or even a little light foundation where needed.

Natalie Hollern Do you need to use a primer under the eye shaddow from the tsv pallete or the coconut watercolour eyeshadows? X

Terri Bryant Hi Debbie! So glad you're loving the Milk. I know I am a bit biased but I think it's the most amazing anti-aging skincare!! It's actually micro-droplets of Argan Oil suspended in purified water to deliver everything your skin needs to be juicy, plump & youthful deep into the skin. To have a serum do this without an emulsifier as well is unheard of. The ingredients are SO pure yet the technology is quite remarkable. xx

Terri Bryant Thanks Aisha. I'm totally with you smile emoticon

Sharon Harvay what can we look forward to in the September shows Terri?

Terri Bryant Hi Natalie! No need at all for a primer under the eyeshadows. Especially the coconut watercolor eyeshadow…it's been tested for 14 hour wear & 14 hour hydration! xx

Terri Bryant Hi Sharon, we're still playing with assortment but I'm pretty sure we're going to see new lipstick colors, new infinity lip & cheek colors & a deep treatment cleanser amongst others. xx

Sharon Harvay ooooooh la! la! Cannot wait x

Terri Bryant oh…and could be a new shadow palette too!

Debbie Brown Hi Terri Do you know when we will have new stocks if the foundation? I missed out on the TSV and have been desperate to try the matchmaker serum. Thanks for bringing such an amazing range to us all. I adore the whipped body butter xxx

Anne-Marie Mason and the salt spray, pretty please? x

Terri Bryant Hi Debbie! So sorry you missed out on the TSV. I'm hoping we get the foundation back in September but can keep you all posted when I know more. I'm definitely on that one…It's too good to go without it smile emoticon Love that you're loving the Body Butter…isn't it divine?!

BRUCE BODYBLADE WEBCHAT – Monday 24th August – self esteem

Hello Bodyblade Ohana!! I've literally just returned from a week in Australia where I appeared on their shopping channel. I'm back home and looking forward to our chat this evening. So much to catch up on too. Let's talk about self esteem tonight. It seems that over 60% of the population doesn't have great self esteem. Why is that? What can we do to change that and how important is exercise to help in that process

Bruce Hymanson Hi Jacqueline, it's great adding body movement. Not only do you burn more calories but you maintain better flexibility, mobility and improve all aspects of body awareness, balance and coordination

Anne Keating From my point of view, if I look after myself by exercising and eating properly, my self esteem goes sky high. But if I don't, I know I easily become depressed. Difficult to do something about it when you are in that state though! xx

Bruce Hymanson I am very excited to be visiting Sept 7-8. I've been told, I'll be on at 9am, 10am (for a full hour) and 4pm with Debbie Flint the 7th. I will also be on twice on Sept 8 and of course a full hour with Debbie!!!! We are still looking for people to join us on air. We will have such a great time. How about you Tracie Wright?

Bruce Hymanson Exercise and self esteem go hand in hand don't they? I see it everyday and experience myself how I feel if I don't get adequate exercise. So many people could raise their self image by devoting just a few minutes a day to themselves. Take a walk, stretch, pick up your Bodyblade but remember yourself somewhere along the schedule everyday.

Mary-Jane Rossetter Ah, self esteem can be so fragile - I was congratulating myself on getting my BB out for 3-4 times a week for the past 2 months - then a friend posted s photo with me in it on FB. Oh dear, I had hoped I looked fitter than that

Bruce Hymanson When I was in Australia last week, I visited the Opera House and the beautiful park around the property. I took my blades with me and meet a lot of people willing to try the workout. We had a ball with people who were walking on their lunch hour or part of a major workout. I wish you could all have been with me because we could have shown them how great you are!!!

Howard Carless Evening Bruce. I'm 76, have rheumatoid arthritis and other autoimmune conditions and have severe weight loss. Have been using BB for about a month, can do the super six at least once a day. Have managed to put a bit weight back on over the last couple of weeks. My self esteem has improved by doing the super six but mainly by seeing the muscle development in the arms and legs and the reduction in pain. Thank you for your help. I intend to expand the exercise but do not want to loose any weight.

Tracey Cox No problems with self-esteem really, but I do know that I feel better all round when I'm getting regular exercise. Just 2 weeks and 3 days with my Bodyblade and I feel stronger and just better generally. Everything I do seems easier somehow.

This week I had some exciting news, really exciting news! It will involve me having an incredible try it for the first time club event, but I can't tell you yet or I will have to kill you ha ha ha X! Seriously, it relates to the charity medical detection dogs, for which at the weekend, we raised nearly £1200 on the day at my table top event. It went with a swing and thank you everyone who attended. But when you add to the online ordering when you add the online donations and private donations we have reached an amazing £5000. I do want to achieve £11,000 in the next 12 months, and I'm thinking of doing something like an online virtual pub quiz one night up-and-down the country in people’s homes or where ever they want to get together to join in and pay a little fee to take part and win a nice prize. What do you think - are you game?

The great news is that if someone donates £2000 you can name a puppy, so we get to do two! And now we just have to wait for a new puppy to arrive, or be donated.

Here’s the founder of the charity, Dr Claire Guest talking about what’s involved as far as the dog is concerned, just in case you have some puppies and you’d like to donate one. I saw mostly Labradors when I was there.  Watch this – click here.

Then when they get the next appropriate pup ready for training, we can name it yay! I've had some great suggestions already, like Bruce or BB for the Bodyblade team, della or Dell or Derek after my dad, and lots of regular dog names. If I get to 11,000 we can name five puppies which would be fantastic because there are two people I would name them after if we have more than two. I'm sure you can guess who if you are QVC are regular.

Also as promised this week here is the exclusive look around my new home, enjoy this video of the new ground floor told you the lounge was Bijoux!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNdYlkG3TIw

Yes the house move is done, everything is installed now, just a curtain pole left to put up and the garden to do… Richard Jackson where are you?!!!  : - )

If you'd like to find out more about what happened at the weekend in the sunshine in Wotton, and see some faces you may recognise from QVC and from Facebook, there are tons of pictures and links to some fascinating news articles on my Back to You QVC Facebook Group blog (links to groups below – do join us.) And videos about the medical detection dogs and their work, do go here to see the question and answer web chat with me on Monday, featuring lots and lots of photos and information. And here is one of the four ambassadors, Lesley Nicol, aka Mrs Patmore in Downton Abbey, on Loose Women last summer, explaining more about how the dogs do their magic and about the upstairs downstairs rivalry on our fave drama. click here.

Onto other news … My book of the week is a lovely Beryl Kingston period saga, Off the Rails which I’m listening to on audiobook – as usual! More on my RiWiSi writing blog, where you will also find out what happened when ‘till the fat lady slims 2.0’ was free on ebook for the weekend. It went to number one in the kindle ‘diets and weight loss’ free chart, and I was very pleased. Well done if you got yours. Just click here to read all about it.

Here it is! Exclusive Webchat News! So I promised an exclusive about what will happen in September with the web chats on back to you group on Facebook. Well the big news is that we are going to extend them onto the main QVC page on Facebook between seven and eight, just before our weekly web chat at 8-9pm Mondays on back to you group. I have been planning this most of the year because back to you show is not on in September but will return for a very special event in January. So instead when I went to visit the web team up in Liverpool in July, we sorted out how I can reach QVC customers with some extra fun chats.  Basically we will be running them the same way we do on the back to you group, only for four weeks in September they will be hosted on the actual main QVC page, which has over 90,000 likes, so I hope we get a lot of people asking questions. The first one will be with me, and another special guest to be announced. We will also be announcing a very big competition to win a superb product at the end of the four weeks and letting you know about the fabulous ‘Juicemaster’ himself, Jason Vale who will be joining us at the end of September to launch a brand-new slow juicer. His DVD ‘super juice me’ is brilliant, (look on youtube) yet more proof that not eating rubbish and eating really good stuff and exercising does wonders for your body. Anyway even more reasons to put in your diary Monday nights with Debbie he he.

This week’s webchat had tons of info about Medical Detection Dogs and where they’ve been featured eg on the BBC. The whole of my Q&A plus Bruce’s bodyblade webchat from Monday – and some videos from the Table Top sale! – are on my Back to You blog. More here.

CBBC Finally I have an amazing event coming up, I've been asked to take part in the 30th anniversary celebrations of CBBC, having been the first girl in the BBC broom cupboard when I took over from Phillip Schofield in 1986, then had babies! Nothing to do with Philip! Ha ha but it meant that my pal from Piccadilly radio in Manchester, Andy Crane, was the one who sat in the hot seat the next time Philip was off. Anyway on 9 September this year on CBBC channel between six and 7 PM there will be a whole hour celebrating and looking back, featuring many of the past and present presenters. I'm chuffed to be there and I'm looking forward to it enormously. The last time I went was to the ten years anniversary when I was at QVC the first time round (1994-2000). Time flies – next month I’ve been back at QVC as long as I was here the first time!

Finally if you wanted to see last weeks QVC blog it's here including a funny with Dominic ‘the voice’ from Aurora, and if you still had a few pounds to donate to my totaliser, you can still use the Bodyblade event just giving page here. If you do thank you so much.

Mini Retreat – coming? Well lots going on including thinking about running a mini retreat at a quality bed and breakfast which also does dinners for people who want to learn freedom eating, brush up on their skills, and do a bit of bodyblading and stretching. Maybe in the spring. Let me know if you are interested. Not sure of any more details than that at the moment but it will be for a long weekend and will be the cost of staying at the B&B, food and a little bit extra for me to put towards the charity, if you want a one-to-one with me too.

Have a lovely week I will, in my new home. Back to work properly this week, and I am on all over the weekend. If you are one of my friends who regularly reads this as a way of keeping up with me, I apologise for being out of touch over the last month or so. The craziness has ended. Now I will get on with the very very important job of finishing my next novel French or Dutch... And being back in the land of the living, instead of away with the fairies with a head full of candy floss – and checklists of vital ‘things to do’ as I had so much on my plate. Exciting times though eh?

Best wishes

Watch out there's a fraudster about! How annoying is it to keep getting news from strangers asking me ‘are you on a dating site, cos there’s someone pretending to be you, talking to me on there.’ Not just mistakenly pretending, it’s a complete fake, who emails them my pics too, claiming to be me! Idiots!

So be assured, I do NOT belong to ANY sites! And am NOT talking to ANYONE about meeting up for a date. Nor do I need £210 to help pay my rent… yeh, that’s what they then ask for! Madness! When the penny drops, for some – sadly I’m sure others are taken in – they then decide to research me and of course immediately find my website where the first line on the home page is – I am NOT on any dating sites!

So spread the word, there’s a fraudster about! And if you hear of anyone being targeted, ask them to email me copy of the correspondence and report it immediately to the dating site. BORING!

NOW WHAT? So if I was ever going to find a man by going on the internet I won’t now. So … what next? Any suggestions? Haha! Do you know any eligible, funny, sane, solvent, non-psycho, non-loser, kind, intelligent, healthy, family-orientated, passably-ok-looking, easy-going, creative, loyal, NICE men around late 40s early 50s? Hmmm quite a list – and you wonder why I’m single? LOL. You get my drift?

What else?

Didn’t send a newsletter last week, so a quick mention of the QVC blog last week – with funnies from Chloe, Craigy and Charlie, plus pics from my hols in France! – click here

And this week’s new one is a weight loss special – with some humbling quotes from people managing to share their secrets. To read it and see some sneaky peeks of upcoming TSV products – and a couple of funny bloopers – plus news of the Detector Dogs for Breast Cancer event - click here.

Book of the Week ‘Truly Madly Greekly’ by talented author Mandy Baggot is this week’s choice set in picturesque Corfu – riding high in the Amazon Kindle charts at the moment – well done her - fab title! To read my interview with Mandy and see the first part for free, click here.

And Back to You blog this week included Marv’s webchat Q&A talking about beauty for darker skins. And it was mainly all about Bodyblade so if you know you need to get fit, start here – Bruce is back on QVC 27/28th – join me on the Sunday night. We’re probably going to have a wobble in Chiswick that afternoon, with several Bodybladers, for a new VT. We’ve done lots now and so many are toning up their arms and tums and backs nicely for summer and for a healthier life. Back in stock now – get yours here in time to join in with us on TV. And let me know if you’d like to come along too!

Finally - the house move continues. If you’d like to see my regular updates with the Debbie’s Moving Diary here on my open Facebook page – it’s not a closed group so you should be able to see it! Tons of pics and ‘Find of the Day’ – eg a fab book by a now-deceased icon is today’s find, amongst many I’d like to mention (apart from mice poo from an undiscovered corner from when I had an infestation. Eeoouw! Yuk.) Plus am still endeavouring to write my next novel amidst all this. The countdown is on till I move on around 1st August, so another 40 days to go – wish me luck!

Best wishes

Debs
