Patch's Meds are Helping Well it seems my lovely Patchy dog, aged 15 and a quarter, is rallying a little, after taking her strong steroids - certainly as far as wagginess goes. She's been a bit more alert this week and seemingly less uncomfortable. But I have to say the £59 for two weeks cost, plus the other diuretic meds, isn't going to solve anything long term, it'll just make it easier for her. Sadly this week, she's starting to look really bony eg around her haunches, bless her, and her back legs are definitely getting a bit weaker. Real shame. Her tum on the other hand is getting distended with fluid retention and a bit bigger. Poor pog. Thanks  for all your kind messages about her on my Facebook page in particular, and via email - it means a lot.

Go here to see a video of her and Gracie dog - Gracie often licks Patch's face, she really loves her.

Latest Vlogs - I've resumed my regular video updates! Do 'like' my Facebook page to see my regular 'vlogs' - video blogs - here's the one with the NSVs! click here. I also had a super live video event this week with the talented James Murden, about his new 'Mardles' colouring books which come to life on an app! Buy them, here. Great idea for a kids gift which will give you proper brownie points this xmas! Not always in stock though, so don't miss them! See him explain them in the live video we did on Facebook, showing kids' colouring coming to life, here.

Also here's that other video of when I went horse-riding with my neighbour Fiona this week, when the two big guys had be de-saddled - first time I'd ever seen this up close - funny! click here

More about this week's ride out is on the new QVC blog, on QVC tab above from Fri pm.

Book of the Week this week is from one of my favourite authors of period novels - Jean Fullerton. If you love post-war 1940s nursing drama, do read these - with a heavy dose of romance built in - and superb of-the-era period details. To read my review look on this week's Read it Write it Sell it blog, RiWiSi click here. Also to see some cool pics of ideas for bookshelves with a difference!

MDD Xmas Cards are Available! do go to my latest charity blog here. They're lovely! Plus I got another update about little Derek - who is one this weekend! I love him, he's so handsome! Watch out for the 4pm BBC1 airing on Oct 9th of the #lifeline charity appeal which fellow ambassador Kate Humble is going to do - Medical Detection Dogs is going to be on national TV again!

Latest QVC blog - featuring hoss riding and a fascinating Ancestry census entry in my family tree - plus another five sneaky peeks of QVC bargains from the week ahead and a sneaky peek of Saturday's big Xmas Molton Brown bargain of the season! more here Fri pm.

And finally a super update on my health blog Back to You - about my wonderful ladies on Facebook on my Till the Fat Lady Slims group (join it here if you've read my books, available on Amazon as below).  Penni Rowe made me so proud this week and has done a wonderful testimonial about how it's changed her life. Freedom Eating really works to break you out of food prison - even if you've been in there your whole life! Go here for the TTFLS update.

Have a lovely week! Next weekend I'm off to - yes you've guessed it, Devon again - there is a reason! Alix has asked me to go to the Belstone village shin dig on Saturday and I've some business to attend to on Sunday! Have a super week...
