What a lovely week we had in Cyprus in Protaras, staying at my sister’s villa in the company of all of my siblings except Glenn in Sweden. And my first proper family holiday with my other half. Howard excelled himself in fitting right in, and I did a long vlog with musings about the holiday and lots of other things which I put on YouTube here.
We had some super morning walks along the boardwalk in Protaras.
And swam – a lot! Every day! And I even went swimming in the sea! A rare occasion. More about that here.
The villa was amazing, and we had lots of meals out and many of them were fabulous.
We took a trip out to Famagusta viewpoint with sis n her hubby. It was sad reading the stories of how Cyprus got to be split in two since 1974.
It was fun being with my brothers, and seeing how well Howard my partner fits in with my brothers. Better than anyone else has, ever, believe it or not – even my ex husband Tony. H even got up and sang karaoke with me! (See a clip in the newsletter for this week’s exclusive).
Anyway, having been really lucky with the weather, whereby it was overcast for some of the days and I ended up not being too bothered by the heat (I have EPP and can’t stay in the sun), it was probably the best family holiday I’ve ever been on. There I’ve said it! So proud of my two brothers who have slimmed down and lost a huge amount of weight as well, using the jabs. They joked that maybe it’s time for me to try them! Anyway here are a few more highlights.
And here’s one of me and my lovely other half. Here’s to next year‘s adventures abroad! No more for 2026, but we will be away in Devon and Wales again and also celebrating our anniversary of November maybe in the new forest. Busy busy busy!

Well, I can’t say for sure that they are minions but they really look like it! Little Jasper‘s artwork got me smiling again this week! I love it when Lauren sends pictures through. He’s definitely got a distinctive style! I actually then drew a photograph of Howard, hot on the tales of my effort with the bee last week! What do you think? PS it got a bit rained on.
