I’ve been on the holiday of a lifetime as you will know if you’ve been following my updates online (my social media links are at the bottom) you could always go back and have a look if you’re interested! Now I don’t want to bore you, but basically we had a super Greek islands one week cruise on Marella Discovery. Stopping at Athens, Santorini, Turkey, Crete, and Rhodes. Fulfilled the ambition of a lifetime by visiting the Parthenon.

And lots of other fabulous experiences from crazy golf on board, meandering around the beautiful backstreets or lunching, and of course shopping, in some of the islands.

We had some lovely weather although it did actually rain when we were moored outside Santorini!
We had some lovely times and said hello to a lot of people – see below. For Howard‘s first experience, he loved it as well. Although some of our most enjoyable times were when we were just sitting doing nothing, relaxing, swimming or reading, rather than going from place to place. Our full day tour on Athens really satiated the need for excursions! In the end that’s the only organised one we did – apart from going ashore ourselves, which was much better.

There are more exclusive pictures on my newsletter – including the beautiful shirt Howard bought himself when we were in Crete! Phwoarrr!! 😉
And finally here is a super montage of some of the wonderful sights on the ship and on shore – enjoy!! We certainly did. See it here.
SNIPPETS

EPP Fashions
Obviously, I kept out of the sun more rather than less, with my genetic skin condition – this is how I have to dress when I’m going to spend some time in the sunshine! I was really really counting my blessings this week because Howard is so understanding and also doesn’t like sitting in the sunshine for very long!

Fab food
The food was outstanding of course, and the highlight of the week was when we went to the surf and turf for Howard‘s birthday on Sunday night! Compliments to the chefs on board, truly outstanding menu choices!

Cabin Birthday Treats!
Obviously, the whole trip was partly for both of our birthdays. I had mine before I left as you will know if you read my blog. And H had his on the Sunday. We returned to the room to see this super treat! Plus I treated him to an on board massage in the Elemis salon. What a birthday to remember!
Exclusive – on this week’s newsletter (sign up to get yours in the inbox every weekend), the exclusive content is a few extra photos no one else has seen, from the holiday!
Watch – Started watching The Amateur, a film starring Rami Malek, along the lines of the Bourne identity, a man looking for revenge of his wife’s death at the hands of terrorists. Very well acted so far! We have to finish the ending when we get back to the UK!
Blooper – Kabler’s at it again! 🤣 #shoehornGate! See it here.
Vlog – a Facebook Live bantz with a difference! Live from a Greek island! See it here.
And a big hello to all the people who came up to say hi including a couple who commented on my Facebook! From Diane and Patricia, to Jackie, Angie & Karen, Tracy, Susan & Norman, Julie & Joe! And anyone who saw me but did not come and say hi, hope you had a good time as we did!
Book of the Week – In the ship’s library, I found a hard copy of a smashing book by Linda LaPlante, an old standalone called Sleeping Cruelty. Sir William Benedict, a wealthy businessman, is desperate to be accepted by high society. The story mixes politics, scandal, revenge, and crime, much of it centred around his Caribbean island, and mysterious twins who have their own plan for revenge. One of her early ones but very well-written!
